As in are you and a few friends in an active WhatsApp conversation? It doesn't have to be WhatsApp could be Facebook messages or text, but something where there's a bunch of you in one convo so you get a lot of notifications.
It drives me a bit crazy. I'm not that popular or anything but am in a conversation group (for years) with two of my oldest friends. It's nice to keep in touch and I enjoy when something funny is shared but I dread it sometimes. I mainly dread it when I wake up and there's like fifty three messages where they've been talking for a bit updating on what they're doing and how their job/life/new developments are going. This means I have to go through it like :
"Oh that's cool about the job.. that's cool about decorating your room etc." And then update them on my own life. Which is fairly dull.
If I don't they ask why I've been quiet.
Am I just a selfish lazy bastard and abad friend? I love the guys but I'm not that interested in hearing about their updates and giving my updates every couple of days. It gets very tiresome very quickly but I guess im stuck now.

Yes but ours is centred around organising board game evenings, or originally going to see Star Wars secret cinema (had to organise fancy dress etc).
If I want to talk to friends for a "how are you" chat then I call, text or whatsapp them individually.

I'm in an FB group chat with some girls I know from a forum. Most of the time it's good fun, but occasionally it they go off on a tangent something I don't really care about, I find it annoying.

Yeah I have six friends in a iPhone group chat and I love it most of time because it allows us to keep in touch and go plan a evening. But we talk way too much about politics and it gets annoying.
