So Big Show lost a ton of weight and arguably looked in the best shape he's been in in years. It was likely for the planned Shaq match but when that didn't happen wwe dropped the ball on using the new fit big show. Aside from a few good matches with braun, they barely used him. The rumble appearance could have been better and the andre battle royale appearance was a waste.
We dealt with big slow for years and people begged him to retire. So why is it that when he looked good and was getting good crowd reactions do they totally not use him? After a long career he deserves to go out in style and with a sendoff run. Why would wwe not have run with this?

They could be waiting until people aren't sick of him anymore. We can't miss him if he never goes away.

WWE and Big Show put all their eggs in The Shaq Basket. Big Show is probably my favorite least favorite wrestler. Seems like the greatest guy ever, super funny, beat giant (not big man) wrestler ever, and trolls the crowd better than anyone else.
But I can live not seeing him taking bunch of air time in a program again as either boring slow talking brooding giant or happy go lucky dominant giant again. Outside of a program of putting over Strowman, Big Cass, Luke Harper, or Baron Corbin there's really nothing for him to do. And the most interesting one with Strowman has been done to death already and Strowman is already beyond Big Show.

He is still pretty beat up and limited compared to his early days.

He is a house show draw. A big name people might pay to see live since he isn't on TV.

They wasted Strowman/Show on a random Raw when they could have easily had an amazing passing of the torch moment at WM since Shaq wussed out.

What is he doing at the moment? He has been around so long he may look to wanting an office job. If they can get an office to fit him in that is.

Because WWE is terrible at improvising and making the best of a situation.
Big Show is going to face Shaq, Shaq pulls out, Show does nothing for ages.
1 member of a tag team gets injured, the other has to sit out the length of the injury, no attempt to use them.
An angle doesn't get the desired response, act as if it did and keep going.

I don't want to see him on tv anymore. He's been a constant since the mid nineties. He's done everything there is to do. I've had enough of him, whether he's in good shape or not, I am not interested. Kane too.

Because they've wasted him for the best part of 20 years so why change now?
Seriously, I'm glad Show has spoken out and is working with the WWE on his terms, I hope he has a long, healthy retirement when he calls it a day as he deserves it.

When a main eventer on either roster suffers an injury that put them on the shelves for months, Big Show will return to take over for them. At this point, he does deserve a break. If he was on the show every week, the tone of this thread would be much different.

What sucks is I figured he would have jobbed to Shaq anyway.

If they wanted him in the ring with a "O'Niel" for wrestlemania, they could of used Titus

He is still pretty beat up and limited compared to his early days. Well, 20 years of life will do that to anyone. That he's not a broken shell of a man after dealing with incredible weight for most of those years is absolutely remarkable.
