Guessing Julia Louis-Dreyfus is going to win yet again despite not doing anything really notable with the character since its inception. I'm pulling for Ellie Kemper. I love Ellie Kemper, but Tituss Burgess is a goddamned national treasure. I want them both to win.

Just noticed that Angela Bassett got a guest actress nomination for Master of None.
Her episode was the best of the season and she was outstanding.

Well, that's it for this year's show. The results are bolded in the OP.

Glad to see Veep getting wins, the show is consistently excellent and I'm glad they're ending it next year. Charlie Brooker winning was a surprise but a really, really good surprise. Glad to see Riz Ahmed's career going from strength to strength. John Oliver winning too! Not a bad night for the Brits there.

Veep....the one show whose nominations and winning may be more stale than it was for Modern Family (and I like MF, but come on now...like I said it's not the force it was when it started. And with it ending, the fact that AFAIK The Middle never got ANYTHING from the academy makes me upset, as it held up even better).
And all the SNL wins....shouldn't it be more of a variety/sketch show than comedy series? I don't know how it works. Seems a bit unfair to the scripted episodic shows, though. And I kind of wonder, but that's another story for another day.
Feud got screwed.

Also, with it's win, The Handmaid's Tale became the first web-based series(it airs on Hulu) to win Outstanding Drama Series.

Holy shit, Jermaine Fowler was a shitty announcer.
Too stilted when reading the facts about the winner, too shouty at times, like, you like Issa Rae, fine, but it's pretty damn rude to the guy she was presenting with.
You're an announcer, dude, it's not about you, you have to give the same level of enthusiasm to all the winners and presenters, otherwise, you're kind of being a dick to the others.

Outstanding Television MovieBlack Mirror - "San Junipero"Dolly Parton's Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love Sherlock: "The Lying Detective" The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks The Wizard of Lies I mean, the last season of "Black Mirror" was nothing special. But "San Junipero" was hands-down the lousiest of the bunch. I think I had to get my blood sugar checked when it was over because that final scene of them cruising along the beach to "Heaven is a Place on Earth" was so obnoxiously saccharine.

My favorite part was when the two women go to make love and they cut to.a wave crashing. Love that subtle imagery

I love Julia Louis Dreyfus, but she has won enough damn Emmys. Time to give someone else a chance. Was really pulling for Ellie Kemper to win.

I on the other hand f***ing loved that episode. Just once it was nice to have an episode of Black Mirror where the ending didn't leave you in a state of shock. Believe me, after the first three episodes, I was pining for a season that had an episode that wouldn't make me want to reach for the nearest glass of bleach but "San Junipero" was just so out of its element and so unlike "Black Mirror" in almost every way. If it weren't for the time-travel angle, it wouldn't have felt at all like "Black Mirror" but some schmaltzy made-for-TV movie straight out of The Hallmark Channel. Here's what I said about it last year:
