Has The Middle ever been considered?

Now I still love them, but isn't it now kind of passe to keep nominating Modern Family? It's past its expiration date (but in the sense as Twinkies have an expiration date but could last forever and still be tasty). Seems like some of the cast are ready to move on too...and don't get me started on Ariel Winter moreso, in the Hannah Montana way.

Well I will root for Feud.

He was robbed. Jonathan Banks did his usual great work, but if there was one guy that should have gotten the nod from BCS, it was McKean. Honorable mention should go to Michael Mando as well. Great job as Nacho.

Hmmph! I still do. Even though it's not the force it once was and there's shows I like more than it now. The Middle is still holding up better, IMO, even with everyone all grown up and all. It doesn't quite work for MF and they had to make changes (Luke is now the typical girl crazy teen trope instead of the eccentric kid, for instance. Haley is still vain but she's maturing. And Alex...just follow her Twitter or Instagram....Miley 2.0!!! Oh, but I'm sure I'm a body shamer and a bully for saying that.)

Why The Middle never got nominated I'll never know. Is it seen as too much of a light comedy? It now feels like MF gets nominated because of the name value, and cause they're used to including it. Where's American Housewife? (too new?) Where's Crazy Ex-Girlfriend? Real O'Neals should have gotten some pity nominations for ABC screwing it over.

Yeah, the eligibility period was from June 1, 2016 to May 31, 2017, so shows like GoT & Orphan Black, which both premiered later than usual, weren't eligible for this year's show...though, their current seasons will be eligible for next year's show.
