USC & Texas will both fall off hard, moreso Texas who will be done after the first couple weeks when they play Ohio State.
Also Oklahoma is done for now that they lost their QB.
I would think ND has a great shot this year since Weis has pretty much turned Brady Quinn into the next Tom Brady. Plus they were a blown call away from upsetting USC last year.

USC is ranked too high. No Leinart, no Bush, no more steamrolling.
Auburn being ranked 6th and LSU at 9th is a luving joke. We'll see how right that is come September 16.
Maybe.
My hatred of Auburn outweighs any sort of rationality.

Meh, Florida's ranked 8th. Seems about right, though I'm hoping improve on last year.

Texas is going to fall the hardest, but as much as I hate to say it, USC will come close. They won't be BAD, they just won't be nearly as good.

I seriously doubt Texas will be as high as #2 with their main offensive weapon now playing in the NFL, though I think their defense will still be very good.
That's about the only thought I have on all of this, though. When these 25 teams (and seven other) are required to play a tournament to determine the National Championship, I'll pay a much more attention.

The BCS can go f*** itself, by the way. *Remembers the national media asking if USC would go for a threepeat National Championship despite the fact that LSU won the National Championship in 2003, NOT USC.*

Go USC! I can be optimistic, right? Until they lose to Washington and the world explodes...sure, why not?

It was pathetic. I mean, I know Reggie's good and all, but last year's USC team was not, and should not, have been considered an all time team. Now, the 2004 team, that's a different story. They actually had some balance on all sides of the ball.

I'm still nervouus about Ohio State. The offense shouldnt be a problem, its the D thats the big question. They lost 9/11 starters and are still ranked that high. I couldn't believe it. I just hope the D can gel enough before the Texas game.

Ohio State #1? That is the dumbest pick ever. Yes, one hell of an offense, but how do you replace guys like Carpenter and Hawk on defense?
