I reckon Luthor is the most likely candidate for a rebooted face.

Who asked for Suicide Squad 2?
Also, a Flashpoint movie at this point in the DCCU ? Is there any way more obvious to show that a recast is coming?
But ok, just do the right thing and merge the TV shows and movies and be a step ahead of Marvel

I'm shooting for a rebooted Joker.
Also, does this mean Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Batman? That would be cool.
If this is their way of getting around the possible departure of Bat-Fleck, I'm a little disappointed. Then again, the time it'd take to get the Nightwing movie off the ground to introduce the DCEU version of Dick Grayson, only to make him Batman right away, would be wasteful.
Either this or a Crisis movie, I suppose. That could actually be a means of merging the TV and movie universes, though. And just for s***s and giggles, bring back Clooney as a Batman from another Earth, Bat-nipples and everything.

Granted he could just be saying that but he's never been shy about venting his thoughts on a project he has no faith in.

A Flashpoint movie? I guess they realized that the Flashpoint in the tv show f***ing sucked. How can you do Flashpoint without Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, the Marvel Family, and every other DC character, and also not have it effect anything else except for a baby girl now being a baby boy? I'm shooting for a rebooted Joker. Also, does this mean Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Batman? That would be cool. We should probably listen to Affleck, Johns, Jenkins, and others some more.", and Affleck is getting more freedom so he'll stick around.

It's the name of Flash's movie... but I could easily see it just being a movie.
Age of Ultron for instance had nothing to do with the story in the comics.

Right, but I would argue that more people know about Flashpoint given the TV show, DVD movie and the general implications of the comic. If it were just a movie they could've called it The Flash or Flash 2 if it's a sequel.

Affleck quitting before it would overshadow everything else and cause a shitstorm of bad press, and that'll hit the box office. Until he actually makes it to set on The Batman I don't think we can rule out a "staying together for the sake of the kid" kinda deal with him and DC.

Well, I can see them using Flashpoint as a way not to really reboot or merge something but rather to bring in the multiverse and probably time travel ideas into the DCEU. Maybe have Barry find out that some stuff is changing too quickly or that there's duplicates of people around and all's for the worse and he goes out trying to find the culprit (obviously Zoom who's time/universe jumping and bringing in people with him) and stop him. You also introduce the idea of the Speed Force and maybe explain that random scene in BVS along the way.

The success of Wonder Woman may have led to WB saying "Well, that worked. We should probably listen to Affleck, Johns, Jenkins, and others some more.", and Affleck is getting more freedom so he'll stick around. Affleck's script was dumped and he was rumored to be leaving the DCEU after Wonder Woman tore up the box office. It seems he's actually being listened to less in favor of Matt Reeves (who made a masterpiece trilogy about goddamn Planet of the Apes and is the type of person WB should be listening to) and that's what's causing his discontent.

I can't help but feel this would have been more impactful if we had years of movies to fall back on and we know shit is about to change
Either way this is a good back door for them to get rid of affleck batman and do something new with it if he isn't sticking around

What besides Aquaman is actually in production at the moment? As it just feels like DC just pops their heads out every couple of months shouts some characters names and years and disappears again. Unless something actually filming, I have no belief it will be made.
I hate to shout like a Marvel fan boy but the schedule is pretty much set and planned out five years in advance, unless something like "Yay we have Spider-Man now or JK Inhumans will be a tv show" happens.
We probably around Infinity War they are going to announce the phase four films.

Oh yea, I think a good casting of Zoom/Reverse flash can rival the popularity of Loki to a certain extent.
Zoom already has charisma as a character so all you need is someone to bring that out on screen. Considering "he can't die permanently" I think he can be a real throne in the side of the JL for a long while and be a compelling character assuming they write him to his potential

Flashpoint is one of the least interesting 'event stories in comics history.

I remember the god awful Hulk animated series. I saw the name list of episodes, most of all famous names of succefull Stories. Needless to say, they have nothing to do with the original.

Zoom at his best is manipulative, vindictive, sadistic, sarcastic, all of the above. He lived to f*** shit up and if they can out that on the screen it would be a great long recurring villain to have.
