mcfarlane.com/spawn-movie/Honestly, I prefer it if it was a mix of action and horror. But I am looking forward to what comes out. We'll see how good or bad it is.

McFarlane is a scatterbrained spaz. I can't see any actors enjoying being directed by him.

As I've said the last time Todd was talking about it.
I'll believe it when a trailer is out.

He's teaming with Blumhouse so the chances of this actually happening are way higher than normal.
MacFarlane directing it though....idk about that.

He's apparently referencing JAWS a lot in the pitch for it.

Todd McFarlane is favorite Edmonton Oilers owner ever. Granted it was he and 29 others and he wasn't even close to a major shareholder but he did design a sweet 3rd jersey. That's all I have to add

We all know nothing terrible happens when a comic writer/artist directs a movie

Still waiting on that new animated series Todd. The one Keith David recorded all his lines for. What happened to that?

Thoughts:
- I like the approach of showing Spawn sparingly Jaws/Joker-like...I just don't have any reason to trust Todd directing it. - Foxx would be an awesome Spawn. - This shit feel like it been trying to get made for the last 15 years.

This is going to be the biggest movie of the late 90s.

I am expecting the suit to be all CGI this time which IMO will suck ass because I loved the practial moments with suit of the original.

So I recently rewatched the 90's movie. I thought it was a decent cheesy 90's movie. Not great, but enjoyable enough if you stumble onto it on free cable at 1AM.
I also recently watched the HBO cartoon for the first time a couple of weeks ago on Amazon Video. I hated it. Slow, plodding, endlessly dark, and a main "hero" who's story seems to be "I can solve every problem I come across but I just don't feel like getting off my ass and doing anything". I don't understand how anybody can get any enjoyment out of watching something like that.
I do not have high hopes in a new movie, especially if Todd is directing it.

Hmm different strokes as I like the Spawn animated series
