I like how the article makes a point of saying he'd be legit tased. You're in professional wrestling; nobody gives a shit if it's a fake taser, lol. I mean, flail your arms and shake wildly; it's convincing enough for a throwaway angle that nobody would've been interested in because holy shit, the rest of it sounds awful. That's why the sprinkles spot in Chikara ruined the thumbtacks spot for me. If you can sell ice cream sprinkles just like thumbtacks, why not just use sprinkles instead and not actually hurt yourself? |

James, the point of wrestling is an art of physicality without actually intentionally hurting yourself. Why the f*** would you really tase yourself and inflict uncessary damage on your body? Did you see how many lashes of the belt he took from EC3? Probably even Abyss thought that was stupid. |

Good god that sounds horrible. You know it's bad when as dysfunctional and screwed up as TNA was at that time that even they said no to that and put a stop to it. To be fair, a negative number times a negative number gets you a positive number. Imagine Joseph park representing James Storm at the trial... Now I'm imagining this playing out like The Producers and this crappy storyline mixed with this crappy company leading to something great. |

That reminds me of Troy Graham the former Dream Machine in Memphis, in the USWA he started to punch himself backstage to sell the angle that he really been attacked...this was in the late 90s when everyone knew it was a work. James Storm could've been seriously injured for nothing, the shitty buy rate would've been the same, the disastrous ratings for pop tv would've stayed the same. I appreciate having passion for your craft but James is 30 years to late. This is Abyss's levels of stupidity. |
