It's symbolic all right.
Symbolic of a shitty tattoo.

Have fun looking in the mirror when you're old Rocky. Shrugs. I imagine he'll look decent enough even as he ages.

I’m guessing Rock falls under the category of people George Carlin once described “the closest they’ve ever came to a cow is when they stopped to take a piss at an Arby’s”

It definitely looks better. I rescind my earlier derision. I'm not crazy about the concept, but the execution worked well now that it's finished.

I think it looks shit, but like I said before, I'm the guy with Toad of Toad Hall inked on my wrist so what do I know? Haha
I do like the effect around the old tattoo, I'll give him that

I don't love or hate it, but no matter what the design is I don't quite understand why any movie star would get any kind of huge tattoo like that and risk decreasing the number of potential roles where a tattoo like that would make no sense.

Have fun looking in the mirror when you're old Rocky. He will, because that mirror will be gilded, and hanging in a mansion.

Hollywood has tattoo concealer that would look completely natural, you wouldn't even know there was a tattoo there. Even if some of the concealer rubbed off, that could be cleaned up in post-production.

Considering the fact that cover up makeup in this day and age is fantastic, as well as the fact that 99% of the roles dude gets are guys that would have a tattoo like that, I highly doubt he's losing money.

i've noticed in his recent movies his left side tattoo rarely gets covered up.

Tom Hardy, Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie all have tattoos that cover more skin that Rock's do, and they've not had trouble finding work.

As someone that thought it looked awful when it first started, I actually really really like the finished design.

I'm getting a tattoo soon.
It'll be a tattoo of the Rock getting this new tattoo.
