I can just imagine the tattoo artist going "Listen dude, just tell me what you f****** want tattooed and I'll do it, I don't want your life story"
Don't get me wrong, I actually quite like the tattoo myself though I'm more disappointed that his iconic bull tattoo is gone however I think the rock is getting some grandiose ideas about who he is etc. I enjoyed him as a wrestler and also as an actor but dude, you are just an actor. I can imagine his posting stuff on his social media and going "Yeah that's some deep s*** Dwayne, you're changing someone's life here today!"

Wow that is more tacky than the 90's Brahma Bull.
I wonder how he's going to cover that up in 20 years when these abstract layered pieces are no longer cool?

I'm not big on tattoos, but whatever anybody wants to put on their body is none of my business. Hey, if you like it, I'm happy for you.
That said, that's an exceptionally ugly tattoo.

That's supposed to be a bull? Or not? Somebody help men out here, cause I see a skull and maybe a dragon? It's a bull's skull. That's some straight up pretentious shit, Rock. Cool that he's actually put some thought into it, but still pretentious f***.

Now we wait to see when Goldberg is going to cover up his tribal tattoo.
On-topic: not a fan. There's beauty in simplicity; I honestly had hoped he was just going to touch it up, maybe making it a little more accentuated and vibrant. Instead this cover-up, much like his Instagram account apparently, is way too convoluted for its own good. It's a sad irony that he speaks of all of this symbolism and moving forward, when the reality is the move was less about the "evolution of the bull" than it was doing the same thing he's been trying for the last decade: erasing his iconic past.

Kinda looks like a Bezerker Album Cover.
I like it.
Gonna look weird when he takes charge in 2021.

I've got nothing but love for The Rock. The new tattoo's pretty cool and I'm glad it means a lot to him.

See that's incredible art, but I give it 2 years before it's completely blown out.

Well, it's not like the artist has somewhere to be, he's stuck with him during the whole process. I'm sure it's not so bad spending a few hours with the Rock versus long, awkward silence.

From what's I understood, they talked for hours BEFORE doing the tattoo. So unless Rock was just paying him for his time, I'd be inclined to want him to hurry the f*** up, too.

Traditionally a lot of planning and detail-oriented work goes into each line and shape of Polynesian tattoos. It's a LOT of meaning into every little thing.
Considering Rock's background he probably applied the same logic here.
It's a cultural thing in relation to traditional tattooing.

Since this is supposed to be all deep and shit, why is it a skull now? Is Dwayne some kind of walking dead now? Dead on the inside, no life force left in him? "Yeah, it represents me as I am now. A f***ing dead skeleton."
And if he ever tears a bicep on that arm that thing is gonna look all kinds of f***ed up.
It's a really well done "picture" but ehhh I would prefer he just kept the original.

Am I the only one who's pretty much done with the Rock's social media presence? This constant barrage of how motivated and busy he is, is getting a bit irritating. Yes, he works hard and is a nice guy, but so do plenty of good folk. Some work 80 hrs or so a week, have families and hit the gym. They don't get recompensed millions...and millions of dollars for their efforts, and certainly don't work any less hard than Dwayne Johnson. Do they wake up at 4am to clang and bang before eating 7 pounds of Pancakes?
