Are there foods that you wonder why they are so salty? I had Fritos for the first time in years and it was like I was eating crunchy salt. I don't get why they have to be that damned salty.

French fries come to mind.
For example, Aramark is the group responsible for feeding the office & the charter school attached to corporate (Indianapolis Metropolitan).
On my first day on the job, I bought pizza & fries from the faculty cafeteria. It took me three attempts (and repeat cleaning of the kitchen) to learn the pizza was the cheap as heck, "prison food" version of Tony's Pizza, but I bailed the first time I ate their fries.
It was literally a mountain of salt.
Moral of the story; don't hire Aramark. They leave giant messes after catering, and often just reheat uneaten food after a few days.

I like anchovies on pizza and salad, but there's like a 50% that they are more salt than fish. I always try one before I use them.

My wife is taking notes on this thread as we speak. Woman loves her some French fries with her salt.

Tried a KFC Double Down, once. Way too salty. Couldn't eat anything KFC for over a year, the thought of it made me queasy. Even now it's off-putting.

I think most standard lays chip flavors are like that, just crunchy salt. Also, store bought Chex Mix has like, 8.2 million years worth of your daily recommended intake of salt.

I remember eating a Little Caesar's Pretzel Crust Pizza once. The thing tasted like pure sodium and it felt like my heart was racing for the rest of the day.

I cut most salt out of my diet over 10 years ago. So lots of stuff taste really salty to me,but the worst is Sonics tots. All I taste is salt.
