Funny thing I remember is that Kurt Angle plugging this game. I know it's the company's job to sell the product but I find it funny how Kurt said that this game is going to be awesome due to the work being done on it which is more than what WWE does. How WWE is only concerned about it making money. I wonder how TNA felt when their video game bombed in sales and reception compared to WWEs video game at the time which was Raw Vs Smackdown 2008.

Well, sales, duh, but I remember the consensus being it was better than SvR 2008 and 2009, mostly because those two were total garbage.

All I remember about this game was a video with Christian subtly ragging on it when he was meant to be hyping it up.
"Yeah, I start all of my matches with a dropkick"

As a stupid teenager at the time both came out,i will give my input. I owned SvR for the PSP,and 2009 for the ps2 I think. They were awesome, simply fun and crazy, the modes were enough to pass time, including GM Mode And then i rented the TNA game, wanting more variety in my wrestling game.God it was awful, first of all LONG ASS INSTALATION TIME,loading times taking forever, the controls were clunky compared to WWE games and the story just didn't live up to GM mode

It's the classic story of great wrestler models, limited CAW and modes that drags the game down. It's a shame, this was a hot period for TNA too. I have faith that if Midway hadn't gone under and they got a shot, a second TNA game would have been pretty tight. But we got what we got. It's kind of what Studio Gigante went through when they made Wrestlemania 21. Great promise, garbage results.

The story mode in that game started My hatred for Eric Young Mine was way before that but yeah, those tag matches with him basically killed my interest in the story mode.

That's not hard. 08 and 09 were when the WWE games were at their absolute worst point, and Impact was at least fun to play for how different it was.

My main memory of this game is the final battle with Jeff Jarrett being an absolute shit show. I remember spending the whole thing going to the outside, getting a chair, hitting him with the chair, going back in the ring, hitting him with a running strike once he got back in, and repeating the process over and over. It was a pretty good looking game, but they spend 0 time on making matches fun or realistic.
A couple of weeks ago I came across a change.org petition someone had created to try and get Rockstar of all companies to make the next Impact video game. It was pretty hilarious honestly. Dude really oversold how many people watch TNAGFW.

I was in a video game store about 5 years and found it in a bargain bin for £2...I still felt like I'd been robbed at that price

Just in case it wasn't obvious that face scanning has vastly improved the WWE games. It sure has. What is counterfeit dollar store Sindel doing in the impact zone?? Regarding the tna game, in my opinion the main problem was that every guy moved and bump the same. Except for the finishers every wrestler had the same moveset.
