I've always held the belief of "Not everyone can be world champion" due to how impractical it is to give it to every single person that's good enough for it (and even those who may not be), but it's just weird to just have someone like Harper riding the pine right now. Like, he's fit, he's working house shows, but they just have literally NOTHING for him for TV for some reason.

His best bet is to go into Vince's office and tell him to f*** off because he's the biggest pussy in the history of pussies. Vince loves that stuff.

I think the easiest thing to do to fix Harper would be to just separate him from the Wyatts and make him Brodie Lee again. Just a big, badass trucker who kicks people's heads off.
I say have him break Bray's brainwashing and have him suddenly realize "Holy shit, I have a wife and son I haven't seen in years!" Call up some NXT guys to be new members of the Family, or convert some guys on the roster who aren't doing anything right now, and have Harper fight them trying to get to Bray so he can get revenge for all the years he's lost because of the Wyatt Family.

Terrible look as far as being a star goes. Great look to be a henchman. Honestly, he has a job with the company as long as the Wyatts are a thing and maybe even after. He could always be repackaged into another henchman role. If Harper wants to be a star it is on him to re-tool his look and test his skills elsewhere again. Go the Drew Galloway route and prove WWE wrong. The guy is by far the best in the ring of the original Wyatt trio and could do just that. But in an era of main event hosses too many other guys are favored over him and either have more of a look of a star by WWE standards or WWE is interested in for other reasons. He might also be content to just keep collecting those fat WWE paychecks rather than try to prove himself (which Galloway only did after being essentially forced to do), which I can't fault him for.

Harper has a wife and kid and will be 38 by December. I can't really blame him for sitting back, wrestling tag matches on house shows, and collecting WWE money.

It's been a while since I've looked at Harper's age (yes, I actually look up wrestler's ages from time to time...don't judge me) so I didn't realize he was 38. I guess he has a touch of Arn Anderson condition since he's looked the exact same since even before he got signed.

There's no excuse for Baron Corbin having any kind of a push in a company that also employs Luke Harper. I dont even hate Corbin but even I agree Harper does just about everything Baron does better and is the same size if not bigger. I actually actively like Corbin and I still agree.

Could redo the Nathan jones gimmick and say Bray found him after his jail term. he did do a promo saying he was a broken man around the IC title win and they never followed up on it

I don't think he even needs to be a top star main event guy but how the balls can someone with his talent not get used period? He's not even being underutilized he's just straight-up not being utilized.

I don't have to have him going for the WWE Championship or anything, but there's no reason why he couldn't be up against Owens/AJ in a US Title program.

Luke Harper fits more of the independent scene than WWE. Grant it, WWE has broken those barriers down to allow indy stars to succeed, but Luke Harper's size and athleticism is fit for the indies and that is where he'll thrive. Luke Harper doesn't exactly look like world champion material, and you have to have the look more than anything to succeed in the WWE. Just look at Jinder Mahal.
Not to knock Mahal, he's grown into it, but he has a much better "look" Vince seeks than Luke Harper.

Harper has a wife and kid and will be 38 by December. I can't really blame him for sitting back, wrestling tag matches on house shows, and collecting WWE money. I can't stress this enough. I think every WWE wrestler wants some modicum of success but I think ultimately not everyone wants to be a megastar. When it comes down to it, being a wrestler is just like any other job and you have employees at the office with varying degrees of motivation. For instance, I've been working at the same company for almost ten years now. In my twenties I was extremely ambitious working long nights and engaging in heated office politics and disputes with other coworkers to get ahead. In retrospect it was a waste of my time as ultimately management had their own golden boys/girls and I was never going to get ahead no matter what. So I decided to lay low and quit working overtime and checking my e-mails at 1 in the morning. Now I have a super comfy schedule where I do a lot of the same routine work, a great work/life balance, rare overtime, and am free from the stress that plagued me a few years back. I am also collecting a solid paycheck thanks to my seniority in the company. Sure there are employees way more driven than I am who are getting faster promotions due to the extra hours they're putting in but I am content with my schedule, my flexibility, and solid pay without the stress that other more ambitious coworkers have. So yeah, i can definitely relate to a lot of these WWE midcarders who are content with working minimal schedules and collecting decent pay.
