Main Event '88: Hulk Hogan dominates Andre the Giant for most of the match. Then, Ted DiBiase's music hits. Hogan stares dumbfoundedly at the ramp for a good minute. Andre rolls him up for the pin and the title.
Wrestlemania IV: Andre defends against Hogan and DiBiase in a triple threat match. Andre spends most of the match selling on the outside of the ring while Hogan destroys DiBiase. Just as Hogan is about to drop the leg, Andre pulls him out of the ring and they start to brawl, ending up backstage. Randy Savage comes out, cashes in the Money in the Bank briefcase he won earlier in the evening, and pins DiBiase to become the new WWE Champion. Hogan returns to the ring to celebrate with Savage and Elizabeth. Real American plays to close the show.

Hogan bodyslams Andre at Wrestlemania but nobody gives a shit because it happened every time they wrestled eachother in the previous 6 TV shows leading up to Mania.

SummerSlam 88- Honky Tonk Man is in the ring. He demands a new opponent to replace the injured Brutus Beefcake. Ultimate Warrior sprints down the aisle and...has a competitive match with Honky Tonk defeating Warrior with a roll up. Warrior chases Honky Tonk for months and finally wins the IC title at Wrestlemania 5. Warrior then loses the IC title to Rick Rude cleanly at Saturday Night's Main Event in May.

Instead of Warrior defeating Savage in the retirement match at WM7, it's Kerry Von Erich in an attempt to get more popular in the Texas area. Also, the Elizabeth reunion doesnt happen at WM7, but on the Funeral Parlor on Superstars after Sherri emasculates Savage verbally, turning him into a crying mess.

on the next TV following being Superkicked through The Barber Shop window, Marty Jannetty opens the show in the middle of the ring.
Clearly still emotionally wrecked after his friend and partner turned on him Jannetty starts cutting a long winded promo, even touching on an incident at a bar in Tampa that had recently happened, that the crowd slowly turns on....sensing the changing tide of the crowd, Jannetty smiles and proceeds to really go in on Shawn; talking about bearskin rugs, drugs, & women. Just shooting hard. Heenan rambles about Marty "telling it like it is" while Gorilla talks about him "shooting from the hip."
Eventually, Marty tells the fans to kiss his ass and that he doesn't need them just like he doesn't need Shawn.
This all leads to a months long back and forth between them with the now face HBK eventually overcoming Marty and Sherri (who had turned on Shawn the month before after a vicious 10 minute segment back in the Barber Shop which featured the two shooting on each other culminating with Sherri clocking Shawn with a barber mirror to complete her turn to Marty) at the 93 Rumble.

WrestleMania IV: Due to the constant interference from Andre The Giant, Miss Elizabeth runs to the back and out comes Hulk Hogan, who is pissed off over being screwed over earlier in the night. He takes a seat at ringside in Macho Man's corner. Once the referee is distracted by Andre while DiBiase has Savage in the Million Dollar Dream, Hogan slides into the ring with the chair. DiBiase instantly breaks the hold and starts cowering. Hogan is about to hit DiBiase with the chair, but hesitates. DiBiase takes the chair away from Hogan and lays him out with it. Then, he lays Savage out with it and viciously assaults Savage with the chair before throwing the chair away and places an unconscious Savage back into the Million Dollar Dream. DiBiase wins by knockout in under five minutes.

After pushing Gwen Stacy off the bridge, Green Goblin kills Spider-Man, too, so he'll look like an even bigger monster when he jobs to Flash Thompson, who looks more like a star than puny Peter Parker.
(Spider-Man was a wrestler when he started out, so I'm counting this.)
