Corgan could just say that as NWA President, he cancels the old early 90s split between WCW and the NWA. I remember in 1990 WCW and NWA proclaimed themselves "unified" like they were one entity. Then they split. If you cancel that, it means that every WCW Champ that has existed since has been NWA Champ too. The last WCW Champ ever was Kurt Angle when the "unified WCW/WWE title" stopped existing. Then Kurt Angle showed up in TNA in 2007 and became the first ever TNA Champ but when he came he was NWA Champ so the TNA title was the historic NWA title. TNA would be the NWA from the start, the same lineage of WCW. As for the NWA title that was used in TNA from 2002 to 2007, since the NWA continued in the WCW, there was never a void cause the NWA World title was exisiting so Shane Douglas and Chris Candido never were NWA World Champ. You can name that title "NWA Heritage" or "NWA Continental" whatever and that was the NWA title used in TNA 02-07. So Corgan goes "TNA was always the NWA".

At this point, whats he buying? I made the argument last year and ill make it again. Let it die, hire the production people and the wrestlers you want, get the POP TV spot because they will need to fill the time, and start anew. Isn't that pretty much what Jarrett just tried?

the NWA's twitter hasn't been updated since July 6th of 1978, because that's the last time anyone cared about it. I still care about it dammit!!

Corgan buys Impact, rebrands it NWA and turns it into a retro promotion. They produce it like JCP and WCCW circa 1983-87 and workers get 80s characters. Essentially Southpaw Regional Wrestling comes to life.

well you'd be wrong because the NWA isn't a wrestling promotion. I'm expressing to my full capabilities and now I'm living in correctional facilities... Oh not that nwa...well better that way I can't see Ice Cube getting along with the Harris twins... NWA, TNA, Impact Wrestling, GFW ... Mix 'em and put 'em in a pot like gumbo.

The fact that this thread title even exists shows how crazy wrestling has been in the last three years.

The fact that this thread title even exists shows how crazy wrestling has been in the last three years. And that's not even the strangest thread title related to legitimate news I've made in this forum in the last three years. Lest we forget when Nazis almost bought the company.

I think Flair had the International title and defeated Vader and the unification happened.
