If Corgan Finally Buys GFW and Slaps the NWA Name On It?

Is TNA officially dead?

You would think that after GFW had been a promotion and then it's owner was hired by TNA and they both decided to use GFW as the name then TNA would be dead or at least this would be considered a new company. But the zombie just keeps moving along. If you look up any GFW and TNA info in most wrestling databases (like cagematch.net) GFW is considered the dead promotion whereas TNA is still kicking (with a name change that still isn't quite taking).

This got me thinking about the speculation of Corgan being rumored again as a potential buyer since Anthem is reportedly trying to get out. Since he now has the right to use the NWA name, but changes the model to only have one promotion with the NWA name rather than the TNA name is TNA finally dead? Is the NWA dead? Are they somehow both alive and dead simultaneously?

As long as someone keeps the company going, it still has the TNA lineage. Just like WWE is the same company as the WWWF.

At this point, whats he buying? I made the argument last year and ill make it again. Let it die, hire the production people and the wrestlers you want, get the POP TV spot because they will need to fill the time, and start anew.
