I like the Big Show, and think he'll go down as a legend of the business who'll be sorely missed once he's retired...
BUT I'm struggling to think of a couple of good matches he's had. So, what do you think was Big Show's best match ever?

Probably not his best match in the classic big match sense but he had an interesting "scientific" style match with Kane on Raw that surprised everyone and confused the crowd lol

Just off the top of my head, the match he had with Ric Flair in ECW was fun, and everything he's done with Strowman this year has rocked the house.

I'm a pretty big Big Show fan, and I've thought his matches with Braun have been fun

The obvious answer is Fast Lane 2017 vs. Rusev

Show had some unexpectedly good matches in 2003, most obvious being the triple threat at Vengeance with Brock and Angle.

I'm the same way. It isn't that Big Show had one of the top matches we'll speak forever of, but it is doing his job and doing it well. Big Show never needed an instant classic that stuck out. Big Show just needed to play his role and that he embraced. While he did hit a slump around a few years ago, he's found it again by trimming weight and feuding with Braun Strowman. Now we'll recognize Big Show as one of the best bigs in WWE history.

I think his best booking was in the 2004 Rumble, which made him look like an absolute beast, but one with weaknesses - he took a load of finishers but still dominated, and tapped to two different guys. You may be big and strong, doesn't make you immune to pain. Great writing honestly.
...if you can get past Benoit.

Damn, I came here to post the Kane Chain Wrestling match, and it's the first reply!
Ok, being serious, he had a great match with Eddie in 2003, some really good chemistry with Cena over the years mostly around 2008-9ish, the Flair Hardcore match, the 2004 rumble (tainted perhaps, but not Big Shows fault), Undertaker at NWO 2003, v Sheamus in 2012, v Del Rio at Rumble 2013, the Braun series, a whole bunch of tag teams.
Plus, getting a non-rubbish match out of Mayweather at Mania 24, of course.
Dude has a lot of good stuff under his belt.

I remember his matches with Hall of Pain era Mark Henry being pretty good as well. If anything, Big Show is underrated around here. When his character is booked well and he's motivated he can be fun to watch.

He had a pretty underrated no-DQ match with Booker T at Vengeance 2002.

Looking at Meltzer's ratings, his highest rated non-multiman match is the Last Man Standing against Roman at Extreme Rules 2015, followed by Show vs Lesnar vs Angle at Armageddon 2003, vs Undertaker at No Way Out 2008, vs Sheamus at Hell in a Cell 2012 (which I think was quite fun, or was that at TLC?)

Definitely vs Sheamus at Hell in a Cell, bonus point for crying of joy after the match despite being a heel. (in real time I'm watching the chain wrestling match with Kane you're all talking about: holy paradise, this deserves to be in the "top ten matches under 5 minutes" on Whatculture )

As I recall I loved just about every match of his ECW title run.
