Jericho has talked before about how pretty much everyone who was a dick in WCW seemed to become much better people once they left, that WCW somehow made people A-holes and outside of WCW it was like a fog had lifted.
So do you think the same is true of TNAGFWIW?
Does/Did the Impact Zone drain the humanity from people and make them jerks?

Nah the guys actually become better people because of the bullshit they experienced.

I think we've seen enough cases of people making asses of themselves on twitter or running dumb crusades only to leave TNA and think "Oh wait, no" that it totally does.

Everything Jericho criticizes about WCW can be applied to WWE more than TNA it seems.

Everything Jericho criticizes about WCW can be applied to WWE more than TNA it seems. Agree with this point. A factor with the toxicity of talent in WCW is that those malcontents simply didn't have the level of freedom/power in WWE that they would have had in WCW and simply would have been marginalised if they tried anything (probably why so few stuck around for long). It also must be noted that Jericho still collects paychecks from WWE and doesn't hurt for him to paint them in a positive light

Not pushing new talent Not writing shows until day of and last minute changes No long term booking Clicks and backstage politics Certain people being paid much much much better than lower mid card Creative control given to higher ups Stale production quality Thats Modern WWE all day. Tna seems to have it contractually known you're working stupid days for tv tapings, paying them percentages of outside booking revenue, may or may not be paying you and they wanna own everything about you... Time warner paid their employees on time, even when they sat at home to earn it. Only correlation is Double J at this point?

If anything TNA's lax drug policy towards steriods is what is hurting the wrestlers that and the fact the wrestlers get largers not only muscular wise but weight wise because they lack motivation or just don't care in TNA. Look at Samoa Joe now vs his time in TNA even Bobby Roode. Eric Young is another example and the king of gasheads Sonjay Dutt

To actually just kind of elaborate a bit more on the issue here and get a touch more serious than my last post: TNA has a lot of elements about it that seem to contribute to what's going on here. They're run by charismatic idiot carnies who have a way of getting people to fall into line in a very loose and open sort of way. Dixie was a conniving liar who managed to play to a harmless in-over-her-head idiot with a heart of gold role so well nobody realized she was as evil as she was stupid, and now they have (had) Jarrett to do the same. Everything about the company's struggle got romanticized into an us-vs-them situation, and I have no doubt that Dixie was able to get people to go so long being owed so much back pay because she could get people to believe there was something to it all, that there was some kind of big opportunity just over the horizon and they just needed to sacrifice and push a bit longer to get it. It's why people have denied rumours about pay and then once they left TNA and realize "No, I was being taken advantage of" completely change their tune. They aren't drinking the kool-aid anymore. When people are in the system, they feel the pressure to defend that system and stand up for its good name, and only realize once they're no longer taking orders from Dixie that she was playing them. I think a lot of the people we've seen just completely lose their shit in TNA and then end up in WWE completely sensible and decently behaved can be boiled down to the fact they're no longer in an environment of "We've lost our TV partner, but we can't let anyone know, let's go out there putting on a strong face and threaten Dave Meltzer with a libel suit."
Then there are the naturally dickish. Your guys like Josh Matthews who aren't blinded by the company sob story as much as they're just rampant dillholes who have found a swamp they can claim as theirs. Much like how for as much as WCW brought out the worst in some people, others simply used that free, no-limits environment to let their natural shittiness shine through. Nobody tells Josh Matthews no when he picks fights with people online. Hell, they handed him their social media knowing he was like this, and if he doesn't have it any longer it's only because Anthem's social media people have taken it over. They even gave him a heel turn and storylines in exchange for how much of a shitstain he is. It's in him that you see situations like with TJ Perkins, who was on TNA's dick and loving it until the company lied to him and Josh basically chewed him out on twitter for not being a team player. TNA's weird boundary zone of being a 'big deal' while also being a cold trash product on the decline with none of the fame of WWE but none of the cred of the superindies or Japan, means that you get a lot of people whose demons are keeping them from being stars. Drug addicts here for the lack of testing like Del Rio, bridge-burning dickheads like Davey Richards, and people like Matthews who are roughly as pleasant as when a male cat sprays on the stove top and when you go to make your morning tea the smell of burnt cat urine makes you want to cut your nose off of your face. This company attracts problem people like sugar water because they don't care like WWE does; you can be an ass on social media, you can snort eight lines and get into fistfights with ghost hobos. It's all cool in TNA.

There's also the people who may have appeared dickish in TNA, but was later revealed that management made them look so.
Nash got flack for not putting over AJ in 2009, for example, but he revealed on Table for 3 with Styles that he wanted to lose to AJ but Dixie refused, and Styles seemed to confirm this.

TNA at this point can't damage people too much because nobody watches it, therefore you could repackage anyone you want from there with few complaints.

It turned Ken Kennedy into an asshole. He always was shit. Not having "the Titan propaganda" covering for him just made it apparent.
