It probably depends on the terms of the agreement because only the X Division title is new - the others are the existing GFW titles repainted. Anthem probably owns the new paint jobs but might not own the physical objects. Not only that but they don't own the names GFW so they'd have to remove that from the belts. They should just put tape over gfw . Like sabu did Over Taz's name when he had the ftw title

How does something like this continue to exist? Probably because a money laundering scheme. When it was owned by Panda Energy, it was a blatant tax shelter/way to keep Dixie far away from anything important. Now? Who even knows.

How does something like this continue to exist? You know how people argue about people in horror movies being too stupid to survive? TNA is too stupid to die. There's an almost Rasputin like situation here. I mean this with absolute certainty when I say this... TNGFImpactshamalamadingdong is the Homer Simpson to my Frank Grimes.

I swear it seems like every move this company makes just exists to add additional chapters to Bryan Alvarez's inevitable Death of TNA book. My first thought is that there will never be such a book because no one would buy it. I mean, WCW was HUGE at one time and then fell off a cliff, so there were probably a lot of former WCW fans who were interested to see how it happened. My second thought is, I could see Bryan having a book deal and calling the publisher year after year saying, "OK, let's get ready to go to press. This company is certifiably DEAD within the next month or two, GUARANTEED!!" And then calling back to say, "Um hold off, they somehow survived. (Again.)"

Yeah, and Bryan has said before that he has no interest in writing a "Death of TNA" book. Ultimately what will kill TNA most likely is the same as what killed WCW. High losses that made the parent company cut bait.

I love TNA so much. The hilarity they've given me for the past 5 years or so just from this forum is one of the greatest free gifts I've ever had in my life, and that's no hyperbole at all.
Granted, the hilarity is mostly from you fine people here, but I don't think any of you could invent the material they've managed to come up with.

Didn't they unify all the TNA and GFW belts? How do they write that off? Will we be seeing a Big Gold Belt in Impact's future?

They did, the "unified" titles were just repaints of the GFW titles and a newly-designed X-Division belt. Best guess is they'll rush order some new titles, even if it's just the old TNA titles with the TNA logo replaced by the IW logo.

They should have just named the whole company oVe and made everyone wrestle in shitty purple gear, eight tons of eye shadow, and stupid clown masks. Ah, so a Wrestling Society X reboot. We already have one of those, it's much better.

TNA/GFW/Impact has to be some kind of complicated money laundering scheme for South American drug cartels.
I just cannot believe that endless incompetence has just jumped from seemingly unconnected people for like 12 years like this without it being some kind of criminal enterprise.

I'm going to have a nervous breakdown trying to figure out how this company still exists.

What happens to the footage from the recent taping that hasn't aired yet? Will any reference to GFW have to be censored?

GFW lettering will be concealed behind a giant moldy tortilla digitally inserted into the footage.

Who's even in charge now that Jarrett's gone, Gaburick? Might as well hoist the white flag
