yes this the best way I can describe it Queens= Bubah Ray Dudley Brooklyn= Tom Hardy in the drop ( accent was perfect ) & Margot Robbie in Wolf of Wall Street the Bronx= Chazz Palmenteri Manhattan = Joe Pesci Statem Island = I really have no idea Carmella is a semi-close approximation only massively turned up, even if she isn't from there. Also in my experience most people that live in Manhattan are not New Yorkers. They are out of towners that only think of Manhattan as the city.

So I guess we're all going to answer this now? Zeppoles: just how delicious are they? I went through a neighborhood where a bomb had literally just gone off last year to go to an Italian feast, so pretty god damned delicious. San Gennaro? I was there too and no idea until the next day that I was sitting there, eating veal parmesan while a bomb was going off a few blocks away. Is it true that the Five Burroughs have different accents? Serious question New Yorkers don't have accents. Everyone else does. Is it true that the Five Burroughs have different accents? Serious question yes this the best way I can describe it Queens= Bubah Ray Dudley Brooklyn= Tom Hardy in the drop ( accent was perfect ) & Margot Robbie in Wolf of Wall Street the Bronx= Chazz Palmenteri Manhattan = Joe Pesci Statem Island = I really have no idea These descriptions are not taking into consideration literally every non-white person in the city.

I was on the LIRR when it happened, and thought it was hysterical once I realized no one was hurt seriously. Also it was the only time I wasn't given shit for drinking openly on 7th Ave so there you go.

Living in AZ now , people pickup on the accent quite offen

Whatever happened to the people trying to 'give away' cds on Time square? They were there loads when I was there in 2016 but this year I didn't see any? Have they discovered the internet?
Have you eaten in Red Farm up on 77th? Its delicious but my God you could run up a bill.

The cops cracked down on the people "giving away" cd's only to demand you pay for it after it's in your hands at one point. Some of them went underground... literally as I occasionally see some try it on the subway. But... I'd imagine they are less successful as no one likes being bothered on the subway.

Somebody was talking about how Virgil would pull that kinda crap and then somebody mentioned the guys on time square. I first went to nyc in 2008 and never saw them but like I said they popped up big time last year.

Queens? Brooklyn? That's not REALLY New York. Manhattan is where it's attan. statements like this really annoy me. yes Manhattan is the best know borough & what most associate with NYC - but the other 4 boroughs are just as much part it & just because for the most part wouldnt be considered tourisity- doesent mean they are not intergal part of it . Each borough has its own unique identity. You could travel the entire world without leaving NYC

As an outsider I love each borough's definition of "the city" and what qualifies for who can call themselves a New Yorker or not.

honestly though most people I know refer to Manhattan as "The City" The other boroughs are refered to by there name. People rarely refer to Manhattan by name. Hell I'm pretty sure all addresses in Manhattan end with "New York, New York." The others are either the borough name or the neighborhood subset. My mailing address is Flushing,NY not Queens or New York, New York.
