Which stars have been great vehicles for elevating others?

Cena on the E&C podcast (great listen if you haven't heard yet) said something that resonated with me when it comes to his booking. He said right now he's there to be the best or be a vehicle for someone to be the best. That's basically what he's doing in this Reigns feud. He's there to be a vehicle for Reigns. With that said...

Which superstars have been great vehicles for superstars? By that I mean say you've got a star you want to elevate to the next level but it takes a certain superstar to push them there. Who's been great at it?

I'd say JBL for Cena. The Edge feud as well but I'd say JBL was purely a vehicle for Cena while the Edge feud helped both Edge and Cena. JBL really helped push Cena to that next level.

Yeah, I can't agree with Big Show. He's hit or miss. A lot of the time a feud with Big Show is a momentum killer.

Even if Cena loses to Reigns he has done so much damage to his reputation with the shooting. How is he a vehicle?

If Cena thinks what he's doing is really being a vehicle for Reigns to be the best, then between that and "Hey me beating Nexus by myself at Summerslam would really put them over".....I'm not sure Cena's a smooth politician so much as dumb as hell.

In this case, the vehicle is a Ford Pinto that blew out its tire, veered off the road, crashed into a light post and then exploded.

Dolph was freaking over when he beat Miz for the belt, it did wonderful for him,he came off great.

Dude has put over everybody, before they get to the "big" stars, seemingly has no ego about losing to people or making them look good, never belittles or mocks people and rarely gets his wins back. And if he does, he does his best to make the other guy look good.
