Hey WWE, it doesn't count unless he actually shows the hell up.

Summerslam will make it 511 days. If he retains there, he's going all the way until 35. There is no logical other option until then.
And Braun can cash in during the main even of Lesnar vs. Reigns 684035213421134.

464+ days for our Universal Champion who is somewhere in the UFC Universe right now.
With no scheduled dates apparently in the WWE for the near future.

I just moved from hotels into a room im renting from 3 older brothers (40-60). All good guys, turns out they're wwe fans. They only have dish, which in WA means I can now view raw and sdl live instead of 3 hr delay. They didnt have network. Man watching raw and sdl has been fun with them. They enjoy wrestling as a product, they dont know whos contract says what or anything. To them, reigns is a whiney bitch who needs his brothers (the shield) to slap some manhood into him. Lesnar is a beast, rarely there, but things go down when he appears. Seth is the man in this house. (one of the brothers has a crush on seth. Its cute seeing a 50 yr old man crushing hard on a tv star) his match w drew led us all to getting into Raw and wanting to watch E.R. which, despite commentary/shilling, these guys are stuck in their ways. Theyre not idiots or brain dead towards tech- they have kindles, netflix, personal computers, one of them games- but they never signed up/felt comfortable giving credentials to another company, so me having the network is a HUGE thing. Sorry know this is O/T. Just excited about my move and i find it interesting to see how casual wrestling fans think.

I'm really mystified by this whole Lesnar situation. He seemingly has Vince by the fruit. Why would Vince agree to this? It can't be good for business to have a champ who is never there, especially since TV is their main revenue driver. Then to have your absentee champion show up on another company's show when he hasn't been seen on your program in months. What is really going on here?

This Lesnar nonsense makes it impossible for them to ever use days without defending a title as a way to force someone(especially a heel) into a match. Or to strip somebody of a title like they did Bryan when he was hurt. If they do it insults the audience's intelligence and the intelligence of any character they would try to use that "rule" on.

Their business model is set in stone, they just got a huge deal with Fox. Vince is like hey Brock keep the belt forever, it's yours. They don't care, nothing they can do can trully affect their influx of money. There's no link between who is their champion and how much money they make. It's not like when Austin saved their entire business in 1998 cause of how much over he was. It really doesn't matter when only the WWE stand tall.

Hey remember in TNA when Mick Foley said he was going to abolish the 30 day rule and only defend the title once a year and that was considered a bad thing and he had to be stopped?

I work with teenagers and something fascinating to me is the way they experience wrestling like marks, despite not being marks. Students of mine, many of them, love Roman, because he wins all the time and commentary tells them he's the best.

Im 32 and when I was growing up it was by and large uncool to watch beyond the rock/scsa, you'd get a lot of "you know its fake, right?". It seems that since they've completely demolished kayfabe qnd accepted they're a show, it might not be cool to watch, but people no longer assume you're a tad slow on the uptake for watching it. The two groups i mentioned at start truly view it as a Game of Thrones or Daredevil, just another tv show and you dont have to state smark terms, remind everyone of moments that broke illusion, someone only won bc _____, or be ashamed of being excited about the show.

I think sometimes we've been at this so long that it's hard to wrap one's mind around the idea that there are people watching who just do not care about backstage scuttlebutt or locker room politics or any of that mess. But they're out there.

Now that I think about it some things do make sense. It's obvious one of the Brock's conditions to even appear on WWE programming is for him to hold the belt. No belt means no more Brock, fairly obvious. Universal title is basically Brock title made for him to have just so he wouldn't choke the REAL World Title.

Kurt saying he'd strip Brock of the title got possibly the biggest pop of the night, so yeah. It's beyond time to end this.

A title reign in my eyes is meaningless without defences. Even when I was a full mark I was a fan of fighting champions, the ones who proved they deserved to have that belt they were carrying around. I think even if I wasn't on here I'd be pretty tired of Brock with the belt, especially when you've had others stripped of the belt due to the 30 day rule that he doesn't have to follow because contract reasons. I get that some see him as a huge boon to the company and having an air of legitimacy but if WWE could be arsed to, they could easily elevate someone to seem like his peer. That said, this is a reign that never should have happened or only been a few months at best. Ignoring him when he's gone doesn't help either.

483+ days with 3 weeks to go until Summerslam.
So at worst, this title reign at least goes to 504 days. A RARE 500+ title reign in WWE history.
