Being the Nats are my second favorite team and living in the DC area, it sucks. It's kind of the same nightmare this area has with the Capitals. Man, that's rough. As a Blues fan, I can feel your pain. Some teams just seem snakebit. As we might see with the Dodgers tonight

Ronald f***ing Torreyes gets picked off at 2nd with no one out is def the key Gigantic. You could have just turned Gardner into a bunter and try to get a fly ball out of Judge. I know that's more NL ball, but it seems immensely doable. Instead, nobody on and Gardner gets out. They would have pitched Judge differently with a man on 2nd or 3rd and 1 out than with nobody on and 2 outs.

I usually like Girardi and generally think he's a good, if not great manager. But his decisions, or lack of them, cost the Yankees the game. The egg is on his face tonight.

I think he also f***ed up as well because he intended to use Gardner as "power hitter" instead of using his speed and making him bunt This was a horribly managed game from Girardi part from having Chapman up both times they gave up the HRs, to using your relief pitchers too long, to the pick off that essentially doomed them

I kinda agree with Girardi about the replay. You have to challenge almost immediately. We sit at home and get the slo mo replay right in front of our face, and Joe is probably at a terrible angle for that play. When someone else tells him it hit the bat, it's too late to challenge. It's a very close play and he would have to just take Sanchez's word for it. I don't think it's an egregious call. Just an easy one to blame after the GS.

I have a sort of biased hate for Joe because I don't like his decisions but yeah tonight was the worst of them This game is purely on him

Besides that you don't leave shit like that on the table He won his challenge earlier and had that extra one to use That's like not using your TO's in the last two mins of the game

What a game, Strasburg looked unhittable until Baez got on base by error in the 6th. Hendricks pitched a gem and the bullpen followed. I think Hendricks is ready to be an ace.

As we might see with the Dodgers tonight Don’t even talk about that dude. In DC.....it is a dread that makes you not really care about the regular season (especially a long one like baseball), that's where the Redskins have the advantage on that end because not every year is where they make the playoffs so the die-hard fans down here can even comically say how great their team is. You aren't getting that comedy with the Nationals and Capitals.

38 pitches to get the first out for the Diamondbacks.
Looking good for the Dodgers right now with 4 runs.
Still, plenty of game left though.

What must it be like to be a Nats fan? You're in it every year, but you're never really in it. It's soul crushing.
