After having heard about it for years, I do have some interest in this. Definitely not enough to risk going to the theater though.
I have to assume it’s at least better than Dark Phoenix, right?

I'm interested in this, because I want to see how bad it is. I'll wait for it to show up on Disney+ before I see it.

I watched it last night at the drive in. People are gonna hate on it because that is what we do in the modern age of movies. Was it fantastic? Nah. But I enjoyed myself. Magik was the standout for me and her sword and limbo sequences were cool. Seems like they were for sure planning a series maybe even connecting it to deadpool. So it was slow at points but I enjoyed it. If you got a drive in and a free night go check it out. Or wait for streaming. It’s not as shit as you think. Even if it isn’t X-men

Honestly everything I have heard it's not really laughably bad... but it's just not really good either. From what I've read, it seems like one of those movies that is more focused on being a jumping off point for a film franchise than being a good film. Which is... just not how you do it.

It was fine. If anything I'm not sure why it was delayed so much. There was nothing bad about it. It wasn't that interesting or anything, but also wasn't terrible.

I mean, I guess we can call it the number one movie at the box office this summer?

I saw it earlier today and enjoyed it. Like that one review said, it is derivative, but I don't mind that as long as the amalgamation comes together in an interesting way.

Yeah, I saw today, and enjoyed it as well. This was, for the most part, pretty spot on to the comics, as far as the characters went. I loved the little geek out nods to various X-Men related things and BUFFY references.

I hear people are liking it. Im going to be honest, I thought X Men Apocalypse was a horrible movie, read the reviews for Dark Phoenix and never thought I would see it. Then I saw it, and maybe I had a drink or something, but I enjoyed the hell out of Dark Phoenix. I watched it another few times, and still liked it. So I'm definitely going to watch New Mutants.
I usually trust critics, but when it comes to comic book movies, I think a lot of them have fallen into the "unless its the Marvel movie formula its not good" thing, which happened with animated movies and Pixar for a while. So I look forward to liking this one for what it is.

Saw it at a drive in and enjoyed it. Really sad to see they cut Jon Hamm’s part.
They really managed to have compelling takes on each of the kids, and despite the movie not really going anywhere I’m disappointed we’ll likely never see this batch of actors back as these characters.

Just got back. Was just the two of us in the theater.
I loved it. But also I read the first vol of New Mutants from the start until around issue 70. But I could see where if you haven't read the comic parts of the film will make little or no sense.
Best film I've seen in a theater in 3 years...also the first film I have seen in a theater since Dr Strange.

I thought First Class and DOFP were far and away the best films in the franchise, and then Apocalypse made me want to punch a tree. Haven't watched Dark Phoenix out of disappointment, but it's a long weekend, and I think it's on HBO....
