The Thanksgiving Day buffet at Quaker Steak and Lube last year. Not because the food was bad, but because I ate way too much of it!
I know that people usually stuff themselves on Thanksgiving, but I ate way more than I should have. I had been there plenty of times before and always left feeling full, so I figured it was no big deal. Just walk it off and I’ll be fine.
Nope.
When I got home, it hurt just to move. This was beyond just being tired after a big meal; I actually felt nauseated. It kept building until I threw everything up.
I’m going back this year, but I won’t make that mistake again.

The chicken with broccoli and cheese pasta I ate for lunch before flying from Boston to New Orleans. It made me so sick I spent 90% of the travel time in the bathroom. I live near Boston. Curious what the restaurant was?

Curious what the restaurant was? It was a "99" restaurant on Cape Cod, where I'm originally from. My sister and I ate there before she drove me to Logan.

Haha, I guess it’s not always a good meal I live near one in Waltham. I’ve only been to that one once or twice. I didn’t have any problems there, I just prefer some other places.

Not as bad as anything here, but still regretful: a way past stale pack of snack mix. Shit tasted like dust. Turns out it had a sell by date of about three years ago.

About two years ago I needed to get an Upper Endoscopy (I was having rather bad recurring heartburn, turned out it was nothing serious). They told me that I could eat again about an hour after I woke up. The procedure got pushed back a lot, and since I hadn't eaten since lunch the day before I was really hungry. About an hour after I got home I went to the Chinese place across the street and got some Singapore Chow Mei Fun. I don't know if it was because of the Endoscopy or if the Chinese place just made the Chow Mei Fun wrong, but I got really bad food poisoning from it. In hindsight I really wish I had gotten something lighter.

Papa John's macaroni and cheese pizza. I should have known better, I mean it was right there in the name, macaroni and cheese pizza as well as Papa John's.

Mango habanero wings at Buffalo Wild Wings I used to get them all the time in college. Went back at age 29. They were fine, if a bit too hot, going in. Coming out? f*** f*** f*** I really think they changed the recipe, because I used to get them regularly when I lived in Ohio. Had them earlier this year and it hurt. OT, I made the mistake of mixing sriracha with wasabi on a sandwich. for the next few hours I was in and out of the bathroom, not sure if I should sit down or kneel.

It was in the ARMY...If anyone is familiar with MREs you know not to eat the Cheeseburger...Unfortunately I drew the unlucky burger in the passing out of the supplies and after using the warmer to warm it up I started eating it and it was basically like eating a large booger...I was throwing up right before formation just a few minutes later

Had a burger from a takeaway joint here a couple years ago that literally turned me pescetarian. the worst food poisoning I ever had, stuck in the en suite bathroom of my poor girlfriend's dorm room for the whole night basically.
Also one time my sisters boyfriend tried to cook a squid and the smell was so bad my dad vomited in the garden, good times.

When KFC first did the Double Down or whatever it is with the two pieces of chicken for bread with bacon and cheese in between. Now, I didn't get sick, I just fell into a deep depression that I willingly ate that abomination.

For the past few days I've been dealing with gastritis. It's not a meal, but I had some crackers yesterday because I thought it would be a snack that wouldn't make me feel worse. I was wrong.

Linguini with garlic and oil from a local Italian place. A very simple dish and yet I somehow got a godawful stomach virus from it. Was going to the bathroom literally every 15 minutes.

Honestly it wasn't that bad for you as novelty sized fast food sandwiches go when it comes to calories. If I remember correctly it was in the vicinity of 500-600 calories. It had a TON of sodium though. Compare that to the Burger King Rodeo King, which clocks in at a ridiculous 1250 calories.

I used to be fine with spicy food. Not a problem at all. Then I went to a ramen place in town here for Valentines Day lunch. Ordered the spicy chicken ramen bowl. It was great. I really enjoyed it.
Then 7pm rolled around. And death followed.

Back when I had overtime hell on a night shift, if you wanna eat out there's a choice of 24-hour fast food, convenience store, or stands that offer cheap food. I chose the third one time, and picked something with rice and some meat I don't remember.
Took a bite out of the rice, realized that it hit the spoiled state a couple of hours or so ago. I was with friends, so I quietly excused myself, went behind a nearby car, and spit out the contents. Not wanting to make a scene, I just went to the nearby convenience store and bought two hot dogs and quietly ate and and silently judged the cook with a pointed stare.
I've had a few run-ins with rice that went bad, and the taste tends to leave a mark. It's not super horrible, but since rice is generally tasteless, it having something that's not tasteless tends to linger in the tastebuds, peppering it with warning notices.
