His attitude, mannerisms, speech, man he's perfect. Just the little things he does annoys you. You can even look in the Orton match and see that he's got his character down well. I'm so glad he's turned.

Dude’s f***ing great right now. Didn’t know he had this in him, but it’s the best thing that’s happened to him in ages.
(Like, I’m wearing his merch shirt right this second and even I want to punch his face in for being an annoying dickhead)

(legit question let's avoid the joke please) Has he ever worked as a heel as Generico? And I mean full heel, not just heel due to association.

When he turned, I thought the only way it could work is if they make him into very early Kurt Angle, where he constantly insults everybody and doesn't even realize it. And with comments like this one to Daniel Bryan: "Yes, there are some similarities. Yes, we're both gifted in ring performers. Well, I still am.", it looks like that's the way they're going.

Everyone says that he takes getting used to and people don't like him at first. Like he is a genuinely nice but overzealous person who is annoying. In shoots and stuff even KO on Jericho.
This I think is the classic actual personality turned to 11 trope.

Instead of going the typical route of toning down his entrance, music and mannerisms, they've gone the complete opposite route. He goes way over the top with it and it's amazingly smug.

Who'd have thought that a guy who spent most of his career under a mask pretending not to speak english would turn out to be one of the better at portraying a character?

Just hope they don't give him a more heelish theme. His current one actually still fits the new character very well

"Yeah, they took Generico's mask off and turned him heel. AND IT IS AWESOME!"

Sami's great at this pro wrestling thing in general. I'd like to see what he could become if he ever got one of those "ride or die" pushes where the office didn't lose confidence or interest in him and he was consistently booked relatively strong, even with a mid-card title.

Who'd have thought that a guy who spent most of his career under a mask pretending not to speak english would turn out to be one of the better at portraying a character? Well the one thing i've noticed for people who work under a mask they work very well with their body language since you can't really show emotion with your face. For event examples Cien Almas and even Alberto Del Rio had very good language and facial expressions to match For a guy like Sami who all his friends says he gets taken used to because he's overzealous, this is just essentially him turning it up to 11 and letting it flow. He plays the smug annoying asshole very well and he has all the mannerisms to make it work

(legit question let's avoid the joke please) Has he ever worked as a heel as Generico? And I mean full heel, not just heel due to association. Real answer: I don't think he's ever been a heel before now. I had to look it up myself, as I was curious, too. Joke/Kayfabe answer: Generico's gotta be happy that his friends are getting along. The holiday get togethers were getting awkward. Well, even more awkward, what with them being at the orphanage.

As I said last night in the Smackdown thread, I love Sami. He's my no. 1 guy right now. I didn't think there was any way they could make me love him more.
And I was wrong.

I'm not surprised at all. I knew the second they turned him it was gonna be great. When you're as talented as Sami is, him knowing what it takes to create a great heel and really drive it home shouldn't be a surprise (although, yes, in this day and age a lot of wrestlers WAY miss the mark and just have a shallow character that sucks...Big Cass...). I couldn't understand why people were mad they turned him. The alternative was floundering in midcard irrelevancy.
And for people that think "the biggest babyface in the company" needs that great heel run (like Cena, like Austin, like The Rock, like HBK, what many people claim Roman is missing, what many people claimed Bret was missing before he won the belt, etc.), I mean, here ya go!!! I'm not saying Zayn will make it to their level (he's certainly got the talent to do it, but I'm not in Vince/Steph/Hunter/creative's heads nor do I have the grapefruits to make such a longshot bet), nor am I saying that he'll go right from this to being the new Seth Rollins or Daniel Bryan. But I think he realizes that this heel run could be that boost that puts him near/at the top and keeps him there until he steps away, and he's going balls out for it, as he should.
I still don't get how people thought this was going to be bad unless you either didn't have that much faith in Zayn as a performer to make it work or you were still holding out hope in 2017 that Vince would have that epiphany we've all been waiting the lifetime of the IWC for and go completely in favor of what the internet audience wants.
It also helps he's actually getting heel reactions and isn't trying to pop the crowd w/o it being a setup, unlike certain "great heels" (Miz's current run, Jericho's "list" and catchphrases).

I adore this so much. It's like what they did with the Bo Dallas heel turn at first, taken to an entirely different atmosphere. Sami's just tremendous.

Of course he's a good heel, he's a fan of Ska music. I've never met a Ska fan who wasn't a prick in someway. {Spoiler} And no, for the record I don't hate Ska myself nor Do I have a grudge against it's people who like it in general. But, the people who REALLY like it? yeesh I don't know what it is about his upbeat sounding music that attracts such toxic assholes. Though I like Heavy metal music, so who the hell am I to judge?

The way he was fidgeting while waiting for Orton to come out made me want to slap him.
