He wasn't wrong, WWE can't book a face to save their lives.

The ones that manage to get the crowd to invest their sympathy and support in them rarely go over, and the ones that get the Vince stamp of approval and "ride or die" push end up getting inadvertent heel heat. Everyone's better off being a heel.

I'd argue it hasn't been a face territory for a number of years now. Arguably since Lesnar beat Cena. Heels have held the main title far more than faces in recent years and the heels are the ones with the most promo time.
