There's no stipulations involved, nothing involving Wrestlemania, no "Shane vs. Stephanie in a pissing match" angle, no "the Board of Directors is going to fire everybody on ONE show!" bit, not even a trophy that one of the show's GMs could show off in their office.
With that in mind...let's make up reasons so that turning the entire SD roster heel and suddenly having bad guys side with Shane McMahon actually makes sense!
Here's a start: this violent "invasion" wasn't going to happen, but Shane happened to be walking around the corner with his head down when Titus O'Neill suddenly reached up and patted him on the shoulder. It was that moment Shane decided to unleash hell.

Shane McMahon got stuck in coach on the plane to South America that had a broken entertainment system with nothing but Steven Seagal movies, which kept playing the same scene on loop over and over again. Combined with the delays on the tarmac due to suspicious materials in one of the other performer's bags, the rest is history.

Shane got bored and he's rich enough to fly everybody from South America to Green Bay, Wisconsin just so he could add some amusement into his life.

Nothing matters in wrestling anymore. As long as there's a good match, it's ok. But now, there's a million great matches and no stories.

I always laugh at these brand pride storyline angles. Half of the roster are on the other show next years anyways and how anti authority heels or anti authority babyfaces if the authroity figure is a heel can put differences aside for the greater good of the brand they represent. Most cringey example last year was Bray Wyatt wearing a SD shirt condemning Braun Strowman for representing Raw last year and how it was a betrayal to him when all of Bray Wyatt talked about for the last 3 years was society and the powers to be.

Honest question to those who watch: why does the WWE get away with this type of storytelling? If I watched a show that was 3 hours long (and then 2 hours the next day), and made absolutely no sense week to week, I'd have tuned out a long ass time ago. Yet the WWE gets 3 million viewers regardless of what they do. It's baffling.

Cuz they're playing the old Smackdown Vs Raw GM Mode and Survivor Series is a joint brand PPV where the brands fight each other. They should just be happy that they haven't been booked in a storyless Buried Alive Match.
