It was Tobe Hooper Month and the film that won was 1995's The Mangler, proving that not all Stephen King short stories should be made into feature films, even if you can get some fun people in them. Now watch as Tobe Hooper, Robert England, and Stephen King (as well as Ted Levine) shake hands with crap. monster-crap.blogspot.com/2017/10/monster-crap-inductee-mangler-1995.html

I actually paid money to see this nonsense, and knew it was going to be absolute drivel about ten minutes in. Ted Levine shaking his fist at an industrial press and shouting 'Damn you, leave her alone!' stayed in my memory for some time after.
However, because it was so crap I had the biggest laugh with the two friends I was with, laughing at the acting, the dialogue, making our own jokes up as the film went on. We were so loud and obnoxious I'm amazed that nobody wanted to beat us up after. As a result of the unintentional fun that this film provided, it will always hold a special place in my heart.

I actually paid money to see this nonsense Same. Paid to see it in the theater during it's first week. And honestly, as bad as it is, so far as King movies go, I'd rather watch this, Graveyard Shift and Children of the Corn 3 back to back four times in a row before I have to sit through Shawshank again.

It isn't great but Mangler 2 is 10 times worse.

The only good Stephen King adaptation I've ever seen was Secret Window, and that's because the ending changes from the original story if I recall correctly. Which actually makes it better.

There are plenty of good ones out there. * Pet Semetary * Carrie (the original, not the remakes) * Christine * Shawshank Redemption * Children of the Corn * Night Flier * Graveyard Shift * Misery * Stand By Me * The Running Man (Stephen King is Richard Bachman who wrote the Running Man) * Silver Bullet * The Green Mile * Cat's Eye * It (both the original miniseries and the 2017 film that only covers half the book) * The Dead Zone And heck, there is two that came out this year on Netflix in * Gerald's Game * 1922

I would not say the absolute worst until you've seen Cell

Also, is the Blood Freak you're looking for the 1972 film? Because I've found it on Amazon.
