In this case going into business for themselves was quite literal as Zayn and Owens started shilling "Best Friendship Ever" commemorative plates featuring their images on the air without the office's permission. Recently released from TNA Earl Hebnar was seen selling them out of his trunk, his part in giving back to the Canadians for the screw job.

New Day did try to warn Sami about mocking Shane's dancing.

Don't think it's a work Most plausible theory I can see is, they made a bad joke about what happened at the Ariana Grande show, someone heard, and that's that.

Hmm, They maybe did something a little different from what they were scripted to do? Or maybe improvised something that wasn't scripted and then a writer and/or Agent gave them the business and then Owens and Zayn told them to go f*** themselves, resulting in being sent home?
I could buy that.

So I didn’t watch last night, what did Sami and Kevin do throughout the show? I know Sami had a match as well so anything out of the ordinary? Nothing I could see. I mean, they talked about the New Day being Shane's puppets, but I figured that was them being heels. I mean, I can buy in the heated atmosphere that someone added a line, the other stood up for the other as well when management got on their back and they both got sent home to cool off and separate themselves. Things seem REALLY tense right now and understandable considering the constant change of plans. You have to remember, this is headed by a guy who wanted to fire a guy who touched him roughly.

Don't ban me for this, but if the joke thing is true, knowing they aren't malicious sick people I could see it being this.
"So that bombing happened here, huh?" "Yeah, during an Ariana Grande concert" "I'd blow the place up if I had to sit through one of her concerts, too"

This feels like a work. Owens has had a spotless reputation on the main roster since his debut. Doesn't make sense that he'd suddenly do something like that.

Yeah, as I mentioned above, it was probably something outside the script they did, things got heated and both men got sent home to separate themselves from the heated management.

I could buy that. I buy that as well. Although it could be a work, Owens/Zayn pissed at Shane, so is Rusev and we know Bryan ain’t happy either. Maybe building toward a mutiny?

I can see that. Could even be a thing of them saying "Hey, Owens, I know you have the family thing going on, but is there any way you can come over and do this show to set up the PPV, and we can 'suspend' you and Zayn to send you back home right after." Hoping that's all it is.

Also, that's terrible.

According to SI: Multiple sources both internally and externally confirmed to Sports Illustrated that Owens and Zayn’s offense was “going into business for themselves” regarding their on-camera work during yesterday’s SmackDown. If I'm taking a wild guess, maybe one of them went a little to far trying to get audience heat and ended up saying something tasteless/problematic/sponsor angering. There didn't seem to be anything out of the ordinary on the broadcast, so maybe it was edited out.

Well I'm going to ask we drop that line of conversation unless that rumor grows real legs before it snowballs in that internety way. You all have been asked twice now to stop with the whole "joking about the Manchester bombing" newz. Keep it up and suspensions will follow. That shit is not cool. Edit: Beaten to it but point stands.
