I love when all these critics put their whole reputation on the line whenever a terrible looking CBM comes out, swearing it's gonna be the best thing ever, only for it to blow up in their faces.

So, the only thing I want to know about this movie is does it have any references to the MCU or to No Way Home? Other than that, I can wait until a DVD copy shows up in the donation bin at work. Post credits that’s about it. The director spoiled the whole thing online earlier this week. Also not really spoiling anything but they reference "San Francisco" for a quick second and you see characters talking bout or reading the "Daily Bugle" a couple times but yes post credit is really the point

It's not very good, but a real throwback to 2000s Ghost Rider, Daredevil etc. Post credits are as dumb as you heard. We had a good time making fun of the last ten minutes or so

You’re 1 sentence description is pretty much exactly what I expected out of the movie.

Morbius was... fine
I don't think it deserved a 17% on RT, audiences have been much fairer. It wasn't my favorite superhero film by a large stretch, the ending feels extremely abrupt (As do the after credits), but for what it was, introducing Morbius as a character, it was fine
It really feels like they're setting up Andrew Garfield vs The Sinister Six, but trying to do it REALLY fast because of No Way Home's success, the after credits don't feel like same film, it's a very odd choice. I know WHY they want to do it... and what they're doing, but it doesn't feel cohesive, like the end of the film where it felt like the ending needed WAY more room to breathe and way more of an epilogue than it was given, for all the development they did in the center, they could have cut something in there to save some time if they needed to.

Pleasantly surprised here. Pretty standard vampire movie notes get hit. Matt Smith gets to ham it up. Leto gives a nice, understated performance. Would watch a sequel down the line.

Not seen it, probably won’t until it’s on some streaming service I already have a sub too.
But the marketing man, “Marvel’s Newest Legend” is it?
Yeah, you keep telling yourself that sport.

Everyone wants Avengers money, or No Way Home money now, without having to work for it.

The movie itself was ok, I actually liked it better than the Venom movies.
But Buzz, those post credit scenes…WOOF!

Not having seen it myself... I kind of wonder if people are being harsher on it solely because of the post-credit scenes (which sound terrible). Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying I think it's probably really a great movie by any means, but I wonder if the movie itself is just sort of... mreh as opposed to actively bad.
I'd say I'll find out eventually, but that'd be a lie. I know me; I'll probably never see this movie.

It’s more of a meme than a movie at this point. It was more forgettable than bad.

It's not good, but it's not the worst comic book movie to be released in the last ten years. It's definitely better that Dark Phoenix, Fant4astic, Justice League (both versions), BVS, and Suicide Squad. The score on Rotten Tomatoes is, as ever, misleading. 16% of reviews are positive, but most of the negative reviews are in the 5/10 range, putting it firmly in the "mediocre" category rather than "raging trash fire".

On the one hand I'd like to think Tyrese is in on the jokes, but on the other he did delete it. Plus, he does have precedent.

Looking like about $38 million for the weekend, which is above the opening Sony was saying they were projecting but below the $40-$50 million it was tracking for. Movie has a low enough budget it'll probably do fine so long as it doesn't completely fall off a cliff, though.

I can see Sony being pretty happy with that. Halfway towards making a profit in the first weekend.

I watched it Saturday. It was fine. Gets some unjustified hate. I dunno if it’s because it’s lol Sony or what. Don’t get me wrong it isn’t some fantastic super movie. But it was good for what it was. The post credit scenes were cheesy. And some of the fx were a little wierd but it isn’t a bad movie at all. Not really sure how else you could get a Morbius movie made. Told the story it needed to tell.
