I was all for one more match when he was brought back as GM. He had some fun matches right before coming back, with Cody Rhodes, and the Six Man Tag at TLC seemed to go fine. Tonight was a different story. That Angle/Cena exchange was some of the slowest wrestling I've seen in YEARS. Sting was doing better than that against Triple H and Seth Rollins. It's at the point, I'd just be too worried to watch a singles Angle match.

I wish they'd just keep him as the socially awkward Raw general manager or commissioner or whatever his role is.

I want to say Angle needs to knock off ring rust but he looks slow
He doesn't even look like 50 percent of what he used to be

I really wasn't seeing anything different from what Angle's looked like for the past decade. Guy wasn't very good in TNA, he's not very good now.

He's definitely slowed down a bit, but I'd say he looked a little better here than at TLC in terms of taking bumps and stuff. I'd rather he just had a match at Mania though and then called it.

Huge Angle fan, but I really don’t have any interest in seeing him wrestle any more honestly. Dude was so clunky out there.

I don't doubt Angle could still put on a match, but he would need to work out the kinks if he even can anymore...

Angle's got some sort of hybrid of fluidity to him while still being noticeably slow. Like, he'll be abnormally slow about some sort of move he used to be able to nail quickly, and then he'll have that spark again momentarily. He's kinda on-and-off.

I'm still interested in what he can do in a singles situation. I think he and Triple H will be able to have a good match. He's not gonna have any more Kurt Angle/Chris Benoit kinds of matches with intricate holds/counterholds but I'm still open to the idea that he can have a good match or two. He was slower but I thought he still looked good in what he was doing.

Nothing left in the tank. Honestly Angle and Jordan against HHH and Gable would be a better match than 1 on 1.

Angle was not this noticeably sad in TNA though. He still seemed like a decent pro wrestler at least. Tonight though? Man he looked old, slow, and broken down. He really doesn't need to even be in the ring.

Maybe I'm completely off on this, but I think he may have been coming into this match with an injury.
His leg was pretty heavily wrapped and he looked a bit nervous when he made his entrance (maybe that part was selling the situation).

The dude wrestled at a high amateur level for a long long time, has a ton of pro wrestling wear and tear on him and has struggled with drug and drink that have no doubt hindered him physically, I’m kind of surprised that he can still do much of anything.
I think that he’ll be able to have a good 1 on 1 match at Mania. It won’t be classic Kurt, but he won’t embarrass himself either.

Watching him walk, it seems like he can't fully straighten his legs. Seems like he has Funker knees.

Honestly....
I for one am Glad he's slowing down at this point of his career instead of being a full-fledged intense wrestler that would do anything including hurting himself which was what I was fearing for when he returned and they started making him wrestle again.
He doesn't need to be a full time wrestler. Playing it safe, steady and slow is good for Angle's health and part time big occasions should be enough. Not wrestling too much.
That's my opinion. Dont force him to work harder than he needs to at this point in his life.

It's sad but I'd hardly call him a pro wrestler now. He moves like he's about 65 and seems like he sells some of the moves a bit awkwardly.

The bit with Cena I think may have been slowed a bit on purpose just to play up their history. That was at least the story commentary was selling. That said, I don't expect many more matches from him.

I've had a hard time watching him, I swear he can't turn or move his head at all, and he can't straighten his legs. Even the most simple movements look like they cause him serious pain.

He's not awful but yeah, he's noticeably slower now. Maybe they should tweek his style. Rather than an explosive, amateur wrestler let him wrestle a bit more like Regal and Finlay did?
