These are the types of people that live around me.

Even as someone who isn't American.
The fact this is even being considered is disgusting.
Hopefully they will be told where to shove it.
Perfectly happy with the way things are thank you.

I hope New Jersey joins on the suit as soon as we get our new governor next month.

The changes won't be quick or major at first. They will be small changes you might not even notice with some sites being throttled, traffic being prioritized in ways that you might not even notice. Slowly it will get worse. They'll take, and take, and take until they take it too far.
Get ready to be boiled like frogs.

This is what I deal with... These are the types of people that live around me. If they only knew that companies have been working against local ISPs starting up? Not like they would care, they would scream fake news and regulations no matter what was said.

This is what I deal with... These are the types of people that live around me. I... I don't even know how to respond to this. Sometimes I wonder whether this blatant ignorance of the facts is some weird trolling attempt because, good grief, this kind of thing is mind-numbing. Also, I f***ing love when people try to say "You're infringing on my freedom of speech" in reference to social media. Like, if they'd read the ToS that all of these sites have (y'know, that thing people check which totally means they read it), it'd say there's rules! You're bound by a ToS when you use these things! I-I don't know.

This is what I deal with... These are the types of people that live around me. Oh lord. Sometimes it's just best to not share your opinion on something.

This is a move bought by lobbyists exclusively. End of.
Don't let these dickheads get away with this oligarchical nonsense.

I really wish it wasn't so f***ing expensive to live in New York...I'd pick up my family and be on the first thing smoking back home. Kansas is killing my soul.

GO VERMONT! I am f***ing surprised. SOPA originated here, after all. Not proud of that.

Damn. Neither of my states (NJ/Ohio) are on the list. On the NJ side of things I could easily see us signing on once Murphy takes office. I hope so, anyway.

I live in Kansas City Missouri and it sucks...anytime I see any type of group talk of people who are from this area I feel like I need to get out of here. It's just tons of backwoods thinking that makes me think it has to be trolling then when I realize it's not...

Dude Overland Park is considered one of the more upscale areas, you know everyone else is like "Johnson County" like you all are snobs which is hilarious to me. I live in Independence, I've realized 90% of the people from this area are pretty much either racist/sexist/homophobic, hate progression love Trump want everyone deported, or actually most of them are all those things. It's really frustrating and it's why I keep my shit to myself.

I'm a New Yorker born and bred so moving from....such a liberal state to such conservative one was the biggest culture shock ever....lol at the Johnson County thing....it had to be explained to me..."Oh you live in Johnson County" in the fake snotty voice...

Damn. Neither of my states (NJ/Ohio) are on the list. On the NJ side of things I could easily see us signing on once Murphy takes office. I hope so, anyway. That's my guess, too. Got a few weeks to go before that happens, but this is going to be a long fight anyway. Nothing's going to change overnight, which is something we can be grateful about. And I'm in one of the few parts of the country where I don't think much of anything will change (and generally my ISP has been one of the few who didn't do shady things even before Title II stuff), as opposed to folks in rural areas and smaller cities that will get raked over the coals by far less ethical actors. But people have to be loud and be active in fighting this in the long term and realizing that it is, indeed, a long term fight. Fortunately, there's a lot of avenues of attack people can take and at least one Republican senator and a number of Republican representatives in the House favor Net Neutrality protections. Keep working on turning them and Democratic congressmen who either oppose or are waffling on the issue into NN proponents.
