The use of the Swastika is definitely something that is seen as being a badass or rebellious in Japan. If you look up Bosozoku Gangs a lot of them use it in their imagery without them having views that you would associate with Nazism, it's just something that's seen as edgy and cool.

You realize that the symbol has existed for hundreds of years before WW2 right? You do realize, as indicated by several posts in this very thread, this isn't just about the swastika, right?

Right, this is so clearly Nazi symbolism I don't even understand the defense to downplay it. However as said, Japan doesn't see it like we do. Something like the depicition of a Samurai or the rising sun imagery is seen as a problem in South Korea for example, but it's nothing to most of us that we'd blink at. Cultural difference dealy.
