I really feel that to pull this off, they're going to need a strong heel as champion, especially if they're ramping up the idea of sending the champ around to take on the best of other promotions. At the risk of sounding archaic, that's one aspect of the old ways that should still be utilized; traveling heel champs, transitional/short face reigns.

This is a question that I've always had, in terms of the NWA World Champ, was the champ 9 times out of 10, face in his home territory and heel everywhere else(I know we had guys like Flair and Race who were straight heels) and was Sting the first major face to be pegged as long term face NWA Champ?
