I guess that really puts the focus on how much of a bomb it was if pop-obsessed people like us completely missed making one.
I saw the movie a few days ago, and surprisingly, as much as I slagged on the movie's problems over the last year, I actually enjoyed it. It's a mess of a movie, sure, but it also did a good job making it's characters more than one-note charactures, much better than BvS did, and most important of all, it finally got Superman closer to how he should be as a character. You can see Joss Whedon's fingerprints all over it, but it actually worked on a few levels. Really, the movie could have been a lot worse than it was, and it's a good starting point for future movies (if they come.)
