My view is that the feud was boring.
They had zero chemistry in the ring and there styles didn’t mesh. Go back to the 1991 House show run and you can see why Vince didn’t headline WM8 with them, and it was basically a giant squash run with Hogan pinning Flair every time but Flair didn’t care since it kept him in the Main Event with a decent payday.
All in all when Savage came to WCW he had a much better feud with Flair and series of matches.

I thought their BATB match was pretty good. Hogan even managed to throw in a few moves he'd only do in Japan which makes me wish the WWE had gone ahead with the Hogan/Bret Hart program they had planned the year before.

Well, it was kind of hard for them to do that since Hogan didn't want to job to Bret.

To quote Kevin Sullivan when he explained the idea for the Yappapi strap match,
"You all know the finish Hogan beat Flair a million times I needed something to make the match interesting."
It was one of the most one sided rivalries in history. Hogan even once led a swat type operation to assault Ric on Nitro. Hogan even beat the f*** out of David Flair with a belt.

One sided is a gigantic understatement. Whether it be WCW,The WWE,Australia and TNA... anywhere they wrestled each other Flair was pretty much Hogan's own personal bitch jobber.

I felt WCW didn't book it as well as WWE would've booked it

Kevin Sullivan said that Ric would see him every week and ask him when he was gonna beat Hogan. Also in Ric's book he said that the way he was treated in wcw gave him confidence issues that didn't go away until he faced the Undertaker at wm. Ric was the greatest wrestler in the world, but for a period of six years he became Hogan's bitch.

Then it’s Ironic that he helped get Hogan into the WCW and give him that creative control clause, so they couldn’t even make Hogan lose, which made him that job bitch. Though Hogan didn’t even have to lose a match, just have Flair kick out of one Leg drop to make it a bit more interesting.

Lol Ric wrote in his book that he hoped Hogan would return the favor HAHAHAHA. That doesn't work for him brother. Ric also lamented that Hogan's payoff for their Bash at the Beach match was bigger than what Flair made that whole year. Ric thought he was doing the company a favor by getting Hogan and that he would be taken care off and appreciated. Little did he know that he would be turned into Hogan's bitch boy and the subsequent burial of the Four Horsemen.

Flair honestly wasn't helped out by Vader, Rude, or others who had zero interest in putting Hogan over, leaving Flair the only major heel who wanted to work Hogan. It's not an accident that Vader lost a match with Hogan by Hogan inexplicably pinning Flair.
Hogan still stabbed him in the back, but the others took turns twisting that knife.

Vader and Rick had no problem with Flair lol, even Vader put Flair over clean. According to Ric in his book, Rude had heat with Hogan for never working with him in the wwf, and Leon apparently had no problem jobbing, but that Hogan's cartoony style would hurt Vader in Japan, so unfortunately Ric was the odd man out. That's also why Kevin Sullivan had to create the Dungeon of Doom with Hogan's flunkies, because he couldn't get a serious heel who wanted to work with Hulk lol. So WCW suffered by enduring Hogan against his buddies putting shit matches. According to Sullivan, Hogan realized the error in his ways after the disastrous Uncensored main event when he Macho defeated the whole roster.

Haha I just remembered the 30 for 30 documentary and Hogan said that Ric shouldn't have been so generous in the ring and losing....hahahah Hogan had creative control, Hogan dictated that Flair lost everytime they met. Also Ric went every week to Sullivan and asked him when Hogan was gonna return the favor.

Being so generous 😂 One thing you have to remember about Hogan is that he’s a liar and so you can’t trust anything he says. It should be said Flair must have know what he was getting into for that Australian Tour in 2010 though I guess being old and broke means you don’t care so much but still ....

Hahaha Allegedly they wanted to involve Brooke and Reid during that time. They would've jobbed Reid to her probably haha.

Apparently in WCW there was going to be Hogan/Bret feud with WCW doing House shows in Canada to beak into the Canadian Market. Guess who didn’t want to do that 🤔

I saw both Melbourne and Sydney Hulkamania tour shows and I couldn't laugh at how even down under Flair was Hogan's bitch.
