From PWInsider.
That sucks but hopefully this turns into a positive for her the long run.

Kind of sucks that the MYC went from "So many women impressed and they're considering offering out more contracts than initially planed" into 'they sure did sign Shayna Baszler".

Hopefully the door is still open to her after her (hopeful) recovery.
HHH doesn't seem like a guy who keeps doors shut (except to Punk).

The thing is, though, most of the talents they probably DO want to sign (your Storms, your Vipers, your Lee Rays etc) are hindered by the fact they’re international and probably have to go through long visa times to be able to wrestle in America on a consistent basis. We forget, they only JUST signed Fabian Eichner this year and he was in the CWC last summer. Since most of the American talent were already signed, that leaves Garrett, LaRae, Blanchard, Ellering and Yim who some may sign (Yim lives nearby and hangs with Baszler a lot, Blanchard seems a dead cert) and some don’t need it right now (LaRae probably didn’t want the stigma of being there because of Gargano, the Hot Topic deal probably helps longer term). I also think a lot of them looked at 205 Live, the booking of women in 2017 and the up in the air status of the UK division and want to see where things go since, apparently, they don’t know what’s going on either.

Yeah, I’d say that was down to Visa as well which slightly disappointed me from a fan sense because after his match with Kendrick, I wanted to see more because he was such a great underdog face.

On Mia Yim, she just had surgery on, I think, a leg injury. It makes me wonder if it was caught in the medical testing or she knew to get it fixed before hand.

Blanchard seems a dead cert Don't be too sure of that one.

Blanchard seems a dead cert Don't be too sure of that one. Not that you'd probably be able to say much but how far off would it be if I said it was something to do with attitude? Because I hear stuff here and there about that.

This breaks my heart. Of all the people from the MYC I wanted her to be signed the most.

A shame, she was one of the standouts in the MYC and looks like a star. Hopefully she gets a chance once she's all healed up. Even if she's just as a bodyguard or something. Don't be too sure of that one. Not that you'd probably be able to say much but how far off would it be if I said it was something to do with attitude? Because I hear stuff here and there about that. I don't follow Indy wrestling and even I've heard that

Jazzy is fantastic. So much potential. I hope when she heals up she gets signed.

I get there's a lot of here-and-there problems to slow down some of the international names, but the fact there hasn't even been some rumbling of steps being taken, of interest, of someone even capping off bookings past a certain date, while everyone keeps moving on their own things--I don't know if LaRae would have gone for the Hot Topic deal, which probably wasn't in the works for too long before it was announced, if she'd been given a contract, for instance--does seem like the tournament ended up serving as a coming out party for Kairi and not much else.

The only free agents that have been signed out of the tournament that we know are Shayna Baszler and Kavita Devi. That said, the process is all so cloak-and-dagger with all the non-disclosure agreements. Like, we didn't even know about Gabert's situation until this E&C interview, and she'd signed her (later withdrawn) deal in August/September.

Oh yeah I know it's always something they keep under wraps, but there's usually leaks or rumblings or even telltale little signs like someone taking their booking email off their twitter or word they gave their notice to a regular promotion of them being unavailable past a certain date even if they're not posting a booking deadline publicly. Especially when it comes to the women's scene and the absurdly connected Squared Circle Sirens guy. Been almost half a year since the tournament was taped, it's just weird that things moved so not-at-all when the cruiserweights were nabbed up so quickly.

I think the big difference here in comparison to the Cruiserweight Classic is that a fair few of the Mae entrants were already signed and working in the NXT system beforehand. WWE couldn't really sign 10 or so new women at the end of it because they'd already done so before it began. Plus there wasn't a brand new show they suddenly decided to require a whole new cast for, either.
