If we fast forward a few years to, say, Wrestlemania 2020, with hopefully both guys still in the company and hopefully both significantly elevated from their current positions.
Let’s say a match for the intercontinental title. Johnny Gargano vs Chad Gable. Both decent on the mic and both f***ing machines in the ring. That is my ideal future match-up.
Of course, we’ll probably get Roman Reigns vs the Big Show or something, but that is my potential dream match.
With who’s on the roster now, what would yours be?

I wanted Reigns vs. Nakamura last year, where Nakamura would win the United States Championship in his main roster debut. That ship burned to a crisp in the shipyards, so maybe heel!Roman vs. Ambrose?
Then again, we're almost certainly getting AJ vs. Nakamura this year, and any match where Lesnar loses is a dream match for me, so....

I don’t t really get the love for Gable. IMO he’s good in the ring, not blow away great, he’s alright on the mic, not blow away great. I like him well enough but I just don’t understand wanting a big push for the guy either. <shrugs>

I have a feeling Randy Orton vs. Samoa Joe could be pretty damn good. Lots of intense promos and backstage brawls could set this up.
