1. San Diego Chargers - Right now, San Diego is the undisputed best team in all of the NFL. LaDamian Romlinson has passed the single touchdown mark of Shaun Alexander, who did it last year. LT is my choice for MVP right now.
2. Chicago Bears - The talk of putting in Brian Griese to replace Rex Grossman has been put at ease with Rex Grossman having a great game on Monday Night Football. Plus, Devin Hester should be the rookie of the year, not Reggie Bush or Vince Young.
3. Baltimore Ravens - Steve McNair has had an excellent year with the Baltimore Ravens. And after a pititful Thursday Night performance against the Bengals, the Ravens rebounded with a big victory over the Kansas City Chiefs at Kansas City.
4. Indianapolis Colts - With two straight losses against Tennessee and Jacksonville (the last one being a beatdown), the Super Bowl chances of the Indianpolis Colts are looking really grim right now. Even worse news is key wide reciever Brandon Stokely may be out for the season.
5. New Orleans Saints - And my choice of Coach of the Year belongs to the Saints new coach Sean Payton. His superb coaching job has gotten the New Orleans Saints from terrible team without a home to inspirational story with the chance of a first round bye.
6. New England Patriots - You could say all you want about the Pats, at least they didnt score any points. Well....you can even say that now as Tom Brady was benched early and Miami shut out the Patriots 21-0.
7. Jacksonville Jaguars - The Jaguars move up after beating the living hell out of the Indianapolis Colts. Jacksonville has a road to the playoffs almost in hand, but lets see if they can keep it.
8. Cincinnati Bengals - The other team that is back on track is the Cincinnati Bengals. After beating Baltimore on Thursday Night last week, they beat down the pitiful Oakland Raiders. Sadly, before that game...another Bengal in the form of Deltha O'Neal has been arrested this season.
9. Dallas Cowboys - I have calculated everything and my decision is that they shall only fall one spot for their humiliation against New Orleans. I can't say I was ever on the bandwagon for Tony Romo, but I will have no problem forcing those who were on the bandwagon to stay on.
10. Seattle Seahawks - Normally, Seattle would be ahead of Dallas since they both lost. However, the Seahawks lost to the Arizona Cardinals and losing to the Cardinals is worse than losing losing to the Sainst no matter what the score is.
11. New York Giants - The Giants decided to get out of their slump just in time to have control over their destiny as a wild card. They beat Carolina in a decided fashion. The Giants still have a wild shot at winning the division, but they will have a very tough game against another team who has been on the rise, Philadelphia.
12. Philadelphia Eagles - When Donovan McNabb was deemed out for the season, who had Philadelphia as still going to the playoffs. I'm not sure if anyone had that happening. Well, Jeff Garcia has taken the load on his shoulders and has done very well for himself.
13. Atlanta Falcons - The Falcons are right now on the outside looking in as even though they have the same record as the Giants and Eagles, the Giants have a tiebreaker victory over them and the Eagles have a better conference record than them. Atlanta will need to show up against Dallas on Saturday is they want to continue their season.
14. Kansas City Chiefs - The Chiefs are also on the outside looking in with a terrible performance against the Baltimore Ravens. Kansas City also has one of the bumpier roads to the playoffs as well, which is never good.
15. Denver Broncos - Jay Cutler is the next John Elway my ass. He got his rear end handed to him by the San Diego Chargers and with a drop like this....they may be out of the playoffs.
16. New York Jets - The Jets were flying high with even Mike Greenberg of ESPN's Mike and Mike In The Mourning saying Eric Mangini should be coach of the year. That all ended when they were beaten by the Bills at home.
17. Buffalo Bills - The only reason Buffalo is under the Jets is because Buffalo has a worse record right now. The Bills have shown this season that the future is pretty bright up in the home of the Buffalo Wings.
18. Pittsburgh Steelers - Once again in this heated rivalry, the Steelers have trounced the Browns with Willie Parker having a career day. Sorry Dog Pound, but as CM Punk would say, Pittsburgh is still better than you.
19. Miami Dolphins - Nick Saban made one mistake this year and that was starting Duante Culpeper as QB. That one mistake may keep them out of the playoffs, but that isn't going to stop the Dolphins from being a thorn to the rest of the teams on their schedule's side.
20. Tennessee Titans - Boy was it fun to watch Vince Young beat up the his hometown team. Much like the Rose Bowl of last year, Vince Young put the final dagger into his opponent's heart. Tennessee has a bright future ahead of them.
21. Minnesota Vikings - Minnesota is back in the playoff hunt (but barely) after their victory over the Detroit Lions. Brad Johnson once again decided to show up and play well. I for one am proud of Brad Johnson's continued effort.
22. Carolina Panthers - Monday Night, I said I would have a whole lot of crap to dump on the Panthers and boy did my calculations not dissapoint. Chris Weinke should retire because he is not one of those Heisman Trophy QBs who will ever amount to anything more than a name on the trophy. I will stand by Carolina till the very end, but from a unbias standpoint........they suck.
23. St. Louis Rams - Poor, poor St. Louis. They had a shot at the playoffs a while ago and are now left on their knees after the Bears beat them up on every side. Well, back to the drawing board for St. Louis
24. Green Bay Packers - While Green Bay will now have another year to of bad luck, I salute Brett Farve for his continued effort. He beat San Francisco this week and will still be remembered for the great job he did as Green Bay Quarterback. Farve will always be a first ballot hall of famer in my eyes.
25. San Francisco 49ers - Well, after a five game winning streak which gave the city that gave us Riceroni hope, they go back to their pitiful ways after getting beat down by the Green Bay Packers.
26. Arizona Cardinals - The Cardinals have been showing improvements, but I am afraid its too little too late for Coach Dennis Green to keep his job. I think he will be fired at the end of his season.
27. Cleveland Browns - Well, Derek Anderson couldn't do what he did last week and that was pull of a win. The defense was embarressing and Romeo Crennel better get his team back or else......I don't even want to think about or else.
28. Washington Redskins - The Redskins once again......get beat up by the Philadelphia Eagles. Well, congrats Daniel Snyder, you can pay all the money you want, but money will still get you nowhere.
29. Houston Texans - After this week, I have a very strong feeling that the Texans are regretting their selection at draft day because Vince Young went to Houston and stabbed them in the heart.
30. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Too many injuries has forced the Buccaneers to be the no longer the team that won a Super Bowl four years ago. Even with this, John Gruden is not concerned about job security and in my opnion, he shouldnt be.
31. Oakland Raiders - I hate to do this, but oh how the might Raider Nation has fallen. From Randy Moss being a horse's ass to more in team fighting between the coaching staff. For every NFL fan out there, I say the Oakland Raiders should be ashamed of themselves this season.
32. Detroit Lions - Speaking of people who should be ashamed of themselves, I look down at the Lions. But it isn't all of the Lions fault, the brunt of the blame goes to the Lions front office and particularly Matt Millen.
2. Chicago Bears - The talk of putting in Brian Griese to replace Rex Grossman has been put at ease with Rex Grossman having a great game on Monday Night Football. Plus, Devin Hester should be the rookie of the year, not Reggie Bush or Vince Young.
