Next step is Vince demanding one of those little swirly things that are meant to hypnotise people be displayed on your screen during the show, so once you've tuned in, you can't tune out. Joke's on him, the hypnotism would be undone the second someone catches sight of Chrisley coming on after Raw and changes the channel on sheer instinct!

I look forward to muting the PPV about 3 minutes in, playing GTA V, and then forgetting the PPV is even on.

Option A: Keep the PPV's at 3 hours, tons of people don't get used that would have before, and the forum complains about the midcard and lower card being underutilized, and possibly future endeavored down the road. Option B: Make the PPV's longer to try and fit these people on there. Everyone complains it's too long and peaces out. Sounds like a damned if you do, damned if you don't scenario. Considering WWE’s history of using undercard talent during the last brand split during the actual single brand PPVs and the history of using talent on their actual TV shows now, if you actually think they’re going to use MORE talent on these shows, you’re honestly kidding yourself.

Seriously, why? The problem with WWE isn't "We don't have enough time".

Not only this, but I swear Vince has it in his head that the only way to keep eyes on WWE Programming is to oversaturate the market with it. Like ANYONE would be diehard enough that we have no choice but to dedicate 25% of our day with Pre-Shows, Live Shows, Post-Shows, Highlight Compilations, etc.. INCREASING the amount of time you give content is the stupidest direction they could have gone, they should've streamlined it (if anything), but you're going to watch it all DAMMIT! NJPW's expansion can't come any faster... Speaking of NJPW, look at WrestleKingdom 12. That show went around 6 hours, and that crowd was absolutely white-hot the entire night. It started at around 3AM Eastern time and I was able to watch the entire time live because it was that entertaining, just bell-to-bell action. No real breaks, no silly skits, and yet it worked. Which really seems like it shouldn’t. There’s NO down time between matches and the show is just as long as WrestleMania, yet it does. Maybe Japanese fans just haven’t had world-weary cynicism beaten into them yet.

If they could survive that, they can survive literally anything else booking can throw.

Well, that's a lot. 10 hour Mania then? The Usos will still be on the preshow

Here? Its that time of month again. I'm still worried if they'll keep the dual monthly shows to fulfill obligations.

We're getting to the point where they can go from feud start to blow-off in a single PPV

3 hour PPVs worked for 25 years. Why are they suddenly convinced that they need so much time?

I'd be fine with this if they went back to only the big four. As it is, no way. The Rumble was great this year but still exhausting. There's too much wrestling as it is!

The basic shows are hard to sit through and NOW you want me to sit through 4-5 hours of PPV? Get f***ed.

One more thing; this doesn't include the preshow.
EDIT: Oh, it does.

Well, that's a lot. 10 hour Mania then? Make it 24 hours. Rotate the audience every 6 hours. 4 times the number of tickets sold baby! But yeah, Dreamslam was cool and all at 6 and a half hours, but that was a one and done with some of the best female wrestlers ever. 5 hours of (mostly) mediocrity isn't going to fly.

The WWE wishes that they could keep their audience white-hot past the 2-hour mark. New Japan's booking strategy is patient and takes a "less is more" approach that lets them actually pull off a long-ass show on their biggest card of the year and trim the fat to do it. Not every show is main evented by a world title defense, so they get to breathe. Every one of these dual-branded PPVs is going to have two world title defenses on it. It's a nightmare. The whole idea they 100% have to fit all of their top stars onto every PPV is the goddamn problem. Which shows the weakness/logic hole of not building their roster. New Japan tries to make everyone feel important. Yes, it's not perfect but every card needs Okada or Omega or Naito.

In WWE if you become more important than they want you to they take away what people like about you. It's a f***ing joke.
