I truly can't stand that person. His recent attempt at stand up comedy was a disgusting display of how trashy and super bro he is. But if he can translate that to a character then id be interested to see it either surprise me or crash and burn.

Hey, kids...to all of you growing up dreaming of being professional wrestlers. To those of you hoping to be the next John Cena or Lita or Daniel Bryan. Give up. You have to go get famous playing a REAL sport or get kicked and punched for real in an octagon before the WWE will give a damn about you.
That's kind of how it seems now. The WWE wants actors and athletes.

It's not a terrible pick if they can get him. he's got the size, athleticism, and personality to do well.
And honestly, football players have frequently made good pro wrestlers later on. Big Cat Ernie Ladd and The Rock maybe the two most prominent. The former had a lengthy NFL career, and had Rock not torn up his knee in football he'd have likely not gone into wrestling.
Wrestling has always been a mix of dyed in the wool wrestlers and guys/gals from outside.
Gronk, if he retires (which I doubt) could do really well.

As they run out of part time wrestlers, their next idea seems to be part time sports stars.

WCW and WWE world champions and international superstars.

If Jim Ross could make an "O" face, he would be.

So there are multiple scenarios for him interestingly.
1. Feud with Jinder Mahal. 2. Team up with Mojo Rawley. 3. Debut as a heel. 4. Ronda Rousey's partner at WrestleMania. 5. Feuds with Miz over the IC title.

You have to go get famous playing a REAL sport or get kicked and punched for real in an octagon before the WWE will give a damn about you. That's kind of how it seems now. The WWE wants actors and athletes. That's how it's always been with the exception to a very few people. Almost every big name wrestler started out in another sporting profession, either getting injured or wasn't good enough to cut it. In order to be a wrestler, you need the kind of dedication that an athlete has. Honestly, dreaming of being a wrestler isn't going to amount to much if you don't have a legitimate athletic background...very very few people have made a name for themselves without it. Most of the "dreamers" who don't have it usually ended up as enhancement talent.
