We've been hit quite badly here in Kent, but I've enough food in and been working from home since Tuesday. It's cold but manageable, although I've only gone out to walk my dog. I don't intend to go out if I don't have to, either, although there can be a be a bit of 'cabin fever' setting in at times.

First work snow day in the 15 years I've worked where I am.
It would have been nice to know before I actually got to work though.
Now debating whether to travel to Middlesbrough to watch football. I have a ticket but it's also on Sky.

I'm just north of Manchester (Rawtenstall if anyone has ever heard of it lol), it's not too bad now, but it's been pretty crazy since Tuesday. I live up on a hill so pretty much been snowed in until today.

Meanwhile, on the Island of Sodor.... "Aww, crap. I can't believe I got stuck again. I knew I should've wore my snowplough." "I hope Thomas gets here soon. My pistons are freezing!" "I'm glad they went for help, but I wish they wouldn't have made a snowman around the drift. Now I'm cold and look ridiculous." *Muffled* "Hellllllp!"

I have a ticket but it's also on Sky. It's not worth travelling to Middlesbrough at the best of times, never mind during the coming of the 2nd ice-age! (I'm from Middlesbrough so I'm allowed to shoot on the place ) First work snow day in the 15 years I've worked where I am. It would have been nice to know before I actually got to work though. My hotel hasn't had a delivery of linen since Wednesday and isn't expected to get one until Sunday or mayb even Monday, and as a result 88 rooms have had to be taken off from sale because there's no clean linen to put on the beds.
Also, all of the staff who have worked have been forced to stay in the hotel for the last two nights except for me, as I live within easy walking distance. One poor bastard actually finished up with us yesterday and was due to start a new job tomorrow, but wound up working two ten hour shifts instead. We've also been laying on free buffet catering for guests.
Sage to say, it's been a trying couple of days.

It's bitterly cold here on the south coast, but as usual the South Downs shield us from the worst of the snow.

In some parts today the temperature is going to get above freezing. I know compared to some countries a few days constantly below freezing isn’t exactly a crisis area but the novelty has well and truly worn off now. Can this weather sod off please.

Skidded a bit when I got into my road and onto my drive. At least I know my traction light works.

London's mostly back to normal it seems, so that's a start, hope it spreads to the rest of you pretty soon.

Today it literally went from several inches of snow to rain and humidity. Only in England.
