Anyone else been pleasantly surprised by the way Mustafa Ali's character is being allowed to develop on 205 live?
I've been a fan of his since he debuted at the Cruiserweight Classic Tournament & although he didn't do much in that he's slowly but surely improved and really deserves the slight push he's getting at the moment. Saw the promo he did during the last episode of 205 live & it was decent, He is confident & has depth in his character.
I'd like to see a Mustafa Ali V's Roderick Strong final for the Cruiserweight Championship at Wrestlemania 34 & hope it's not put on the pre show too.
Anyway I'm just wondering what you people's opinions are regarding Ali at the moment & if you were in charge how would you book him going forward?

His Twitter promos have been really really good. I'm glad he's getting his shine, because when I saw him in the CWC I said "That's a star right there."

Most of us thought he was a low key star in the CWC, but I’ve been super pleasantly surprised with his run in the Cruiserweight Division.

I'm a big fan of the dude's work, and he reps Chicago, so I love him even more. The guy could be a star. Could be.

There's a case to made that Ali is the most underrated guy in all of wrestling, because he's really f***ing good.

Ali’s probably never going to get the credit he deserves for holding down the fort through the entire run of 205 Live, through all the reboot phases and new champions and controversies. I’d love it if he won the Cruiserweight belt in this tournament.

He's always been like this weird dark horse of the division where they did just enough with him to keep you interested in where he was going but not so much that you'd think he was a big deal. I like that he's getting something a push now. That said, it looks like they're going all in with this new super-serious Drew "I had MS Office uninstalled on my home PC" Gulak, so I can't see Ali going over him.
I really hope the finals isn't Strong vs. Gulak. That's just about the dullest and most boring match they could've possible put together in this whole tournament.

He needs a Prince Naseem Ahmed gimmick. He’s super bland most of the time. I like him pretty well though

His gimmick is "He's Muhammad Hassan if they actually went with him as a babyface after those vignettes in 2004".
With how people longed for that for 13 years, there was no way Ali would fail with this.

With how people longed for that for 13 years, there was no way Ali would fail with this. LOL He has nothing in common with Muhammad Hassan. The whole face push started with a couple weeks of Ali saying the same "he was a Pakistani-American, and he went through racism and bigotry after 9/11" like Hassan did. Then, the show happened to be in Chicago a couple weeks after he debuted and the crowd cheered him as a local star. The next week, Ali said "Wow, I didn't think the fans in the WWE Universe would take to me like this. I stand corrected- I am really sorry I doubted you." Exactly what was said

I’d wager the farm it’s going to be Cedric/Mustafa. That’s the match they’ve been setting up for months.

His attire is worse than Aldo Montoyas. His black and white CWC attire was sick. Any time he tries to add colors it looks not as good.

Love me some Mustafa Ali, he reminds me of a young RVD.
