I just found out that The Touch by Stan Bush was originally meant to be in the movie Cobra, but the producers didnt like it, so they decided to put it in the Transformers movie instead. Cant really see it fitting in Cobra, but maybe thats because it's become so associated with Transformers.

It's a great song, but it doesn't hold a candle to Dare.

Seriously, I had no idea that the song was Transformers: The Movie until I saw it. I always associated it with Boogie Nights.

About ten years ago I was walking through a car when I heard this song coming from someone's car stereo. I looked to see where it was coming from and saw three guys all about my age (33 back then) stood next to a car with the doors open.
All three all of them were smiling nostalgically, and I was able to catch their eye and share the same smile, despite me being a total stranger.
The power of Transformers, my friends...

Stan Bush actually released an album full of songs like "The Touch".
Look up "Capture the Dream", it'd be awesome music for a sports retrospective

Still, in my opinion, The best movie soundtrack and score to date. I realize a lot of the music is hokey butt-rock, but I can still play the entire album front to back and love it.

Sweet baby jesus that 1986 transformers movie soundtrack is still the pinnacle of movie soundtracks. Absolutely perfect. I consider TF:TM, Top Gun, and Rocky 5 to be the "holy trinity" of film soundtracks (with Iron Eagle, Shocker, and Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey being a secondary one).
