Smackdown Live authority figure?
Well, if that happens (and hopefully it won't), then AJ Styles and Bobby Roode (who hopefully will turn heel and return to his "It Factor" persona) will probably go to Raw after Mania.

"Noting that he was seeking forgiveness of his fans at the time, Hogan said, "Oh my gosh, please forgive me. Please forgive me. I'm a nice guy. I'm not the Hulk Hogan that rips his shirt off and bang, bang slams giants. I'm Terry Bollea. I'm just a normal man."
Here's the problem. I love Hulk Hogan. He was a huge part of my childhood.
I hate Terry Bollea for multiple reasons.

Them trying to couch this has some kind of potential moral lesson is laughable. You just tried to have a match honoring a thieving pimp. You’re not fooling anyone.

I wouldn't mind him coming in to induct Hillbilly Jim but the crowd might just tear him apart. Outside of that, I really don't want him coming back because I personally don't think he's learned anything from the whole situation. Considering that his whole response to the thing was genuinely "Well, Obama said it, so why can't I?", no, no, he hasn't f***ing learned a thing. Yeah that's what I mean. I know some people think that he truly apologized and he's learned and grown from it but in my eyes, he hasn't done anything to redeem himself.

Hogan's gonna take Undertaker's place and face Cena at Wrestlemania, only for it to be a swerve at the end of the night and he reforms Immortal with Cena and Reigns. Doesn't Roman have enough going against him with the fans?!

I feel like comparing him to Moolah undercuts the sheer gravity of awfulness Moolah did, but that is just my opinion; I can see how people feel the way they do. I don't think anyone here would actually compare what they did; the bigger comparison is more on WWE's part, about having their hand smacked away over the Moolah thing and then learning absolutely nothing about it by going off and immediately getting into talks to potentially put Hogan onto weekly television.

I agree that this is absolutely inevitable. I also agree that the dude hasn’t shown in any way he’s earned another chance.
Having said that, if you must bring him back, have him on a really tight leash. So tight he’s a one and done if he messes up again.
It also says a lot they released a statement on it and worded it like they know they’d need to do that. They don’t want another Moolah even though, and this does need to be said again, you can’t compare the two in terms of their actions.

You can un-Benoit him, but I don't think he needs a role on TV. Baggage aside, he has nothing to bring to the table anymore.

I don't have much emotion for or against him coming back but they do have to publicly address his problems if he does come back, there's no way around that. Other than asking him for exaggerated and false information about past events in documentaries though I don't think there's much a use for him anymore. He felt redundant the last time he was around and now he'll be a redundant dude with weirdo baggage dragging behind him. I don't think they'll ever be able to comfortably present him as the Hulkster of old anymore.

And you f***ing know that the first thing they're gonna do is have him in some bullshit SNL reject skit with The New Day so they can say "Hey, see, they're cool with it, you should be too!"

I, much like a lot of us grew up watching this man. He is the reason a lot of us got into wrestling and without Hulk Hogan the WWE wouldn't be what it is today. I say give him another chance, learn to forgive and heal, that's all any of us can do at this point and in life as well. My retort is this, we don't owe him a god damn thing. He has to be the one to reach out and show he's seriously considered why he pissed so many people off and he has to be the one to make amends. He isn't entitled to closure, he has to earn it, which he hasn't done yet.

You can un-Benoit him, but I don't think he needs a role on TV. Baggage aside, he has nothing to bring to the table anymore. Pretty much. I hope WWE realizes, there's a very good chance he'll be booed out of the building now. And he better be prepared for a frosty reception in the back from certain wrestlers. That being said, there are some things that should include him. This article and some other recent ones listed him as a Hall of Famer, so if he was actually removed, it looks like he's been reinstated. And there are some things like legends action figure collections and DLC in video games, that just seem incomplete without him.

Straight up.
Whatever Hogan does I refuse to watch it no matter if it's GM, if he's somehow guest officiating a match, if he's in the ring with my favorites or even if he apologizes to New Day directly in the ring in front of everyone and begs to them. He could give them 1 million dollars and I'd still not watch him. f*** Hulk Hogan's racist ass.

I love him trying to equate it to Obama saying it.
1) Obama is African-American & 2) He was talking about the word in historical context and how black people have gotten through it.
Obama was not ranting about how he hates "N words" like Hogan was. f***ing clown.
That being said, the dude is pretty much wrestling. Him and Flair are definitely on wrestling's Mt. Rushmore.
But Terry Bollea is trash. I say put Hogan in video games, let him talk on documentaries and dvds, maybe bring him out for Mania or anniversary shows, but that's it.
