A show that was cancelled well before it should have been. This was actually airing on one of the kid-centric movie channels a while back, don't know if it still is. Came out of my room one day to find my parrot happily watching it.

I for one could use some more Denver the Last Dinosaur discussion. I loved the opening of the show, very catchy. In my country it used to air in the afternoon though.

Can this be found anywhere now? Or does it air anywhere Internationally? All that I can find online is the theme song and a few very short clips. I used to watch it all the time when it first aired and I came home from school. I remember there was one episode where the boy Mr. Bogus lived with was given a computer from his parents. It had the gag where the parents are talking before giving it to him and the dad says something like, “He deserves it for getting great grades. Well pretty good grades. Well better grades than I used to get.” Then later on the boy finds the computer and says something like, “Wow a computer! I guess I deserve it for getting great grades. Well pretty good grades. Well better grades than dad used to get.” In episode Mr. Bogus then either goes inside the computer and plays against the computer villains or the villains pop out of the computer to battle Mr. Bogus. I think the main bad guys were also two rats. I remember one gag where they found a donut and the smarter one decided they should split it. He says something like, “I’ll just take the edges and you can have the best part, the hole in the middle,” to which the dumber rat happily agrees. The whole series was pretty fun and full of, a little cliche, but nevertheless entertaining gags like that.

Okay, I just remembered one that I watched on weekdays before school. Does anybody remember Widget The World Watcher? I used to watch that show all that time.

Oh you want Obscure.
Blue, Child of the Earth.
So obscure, it's not even on youtube, the only thing I can find of the English version is someone on Daily Motion putting the English song over the French opening.
Along similar lines, but miiiiildly less obscure: Spartakus and the Sun Beneath The Sea at least it's on youtube.

Okay, THIS below is the definition of obscure:
I actually have some recollection of this cartoon airing on Fox back in the early 1990's, and I am sure that if I were to mention this to anybody, they would only think of the Disney version. But I do remember seeing bits and pieces of this. I think this aired on the same block as Peter Pan & The Pirates and Attack of the Killer Tomatoes. I must add that I had read that it was imported from Japan.

A show that was cancelled well before it should have been. I was hooked on Sonic like it was crack, especially that this was a time where there was two completely different Sonic cartoons airing at the same time. I hope if we get another Saturday Morning Cartoon Rock compilation album, this theme gets covered.

Pepper Ann and The Weekenders were cartoons I hardcore enjoyed even as I was technically aging out of Saturday Morning Cartoons.

I didn't see it when it first aired (I was a little too young for it at the time), but I rented the DVD's from Netflix about ten years ago. I was actually really looking forward to it. I'm always a big fan of He-Man, and I rented the Filmation Flash Gordon set from Netflix earlier and was very impressed with it, so I thought Blackstar would be a natural fit. Man was I disappointed in it. It had none of the colorful charm or fun that He-Man had, and also had none of the epic storytelling that Flash Gordon had. All the characters were very bland and I just found it boring. But hey, since I mentioned it anyways, let's throw Filmation's Flash Gordon onto the list as well. Had a remarkably complex plot and storytelling for a cartoon in 1979. At least the first season did. I just recently got the first season of the Filmation Flash Gordon cartoon cheap at a yard sale. That is one I watched as a kid and loved. Looking back I watched a bunch of Filmation stuff as a kid. Their Tarzan show was great. I loved their Zorro cartoon and their late 70s Batman cartoon with Batmite. Another cartoon that seems to be forgotten is Saturday SuperCade. I think it only aired for 2 seasons. And for years there was only one episode out in the collector's circles. Plus thanks to Boomerang airing them all the episodes of Space Ace. I am sure getting the rights to release it now would be a pain in the ass. But with how hot retro video games are now I am surprised no one has tried to at least do a limited run DVD release. I'd pay good $$ for the set - Space Ace, Pitfall and Q*bert were pretty good (Q*bert in its own weird way) The Pac-Man cartoon was a standalone and while the animation was horrendous at times, turning a basic game like that into a show wasn't easy. Visionaries had some really cool concepts and Merklin was a dick. Soft spot in my heart for Filmation's Bravestarr. 30/30 is the hero we don't deserve.

Another show I just remembered was Buzz Lightyear of Star Command. I remember loving this show and thinking it was pretty hilarious. I think it aired on One Saturday Morning, but I mostly remember it from UPN syndication. It had a great cast featuring Patrick Warburton, Nicole Sullivan, and Wayne Knight.

IIRC Saturday Supercade was on CBS. I loved the Dragon's Lair cartoon. Thanks to reruns on Boomerang you can find copies fairly easy, Q bert had that weird 50s AIP teen comedy feel. I loved Donkey Kong Jr as a kid,but it doesn't hold that well as an adult. Frogger is still fun. Kangaroo is ok. My faves were Space Ace and Pitfall.
