What was all that about? In what way were things beginning again?

21 really was the beginning of a new era. 20 was more like the end of the previous.

Probably has something to do with it being the 20th WM and it being held inside MSG.

I remember reading on the newz sites that WWE was supposed to get a new logo at the time.

It was because Mania 20 was held in MSG, where Mania 1 was held.

Funny how that was the last WrestleMania where not everyone got on the card. Heck, there wasn't even a dark match, I believe.
I know 2012 & 2013 broke the streak of pointless battle royals (for the men, at least) before they decided to create an official pointless battle royal.

Triple H and Undertaker was an "end of an era" match and Cena v Rock was "Once in a lifetime". I think that tells you everything about the meaning of WWE's taglines.

I mean I had to watch some episodes of Superstars and Wrestling Challenge, and while they did plug that event, I haven't seen enough to really see how they were hyping it up for a full year.

Yeah, but I'd still comment that at least 25% of the roster wasn't on.

Taker had an “end of an era” match with Austin like 10 years previous I've always imagined that every day Austin and Taker continue to get involved in a brawl. That feud is never going to end!

Yeah it's just a phrase.
Like WrestleMania 2 was "What the world is coming to". What the hell does that mean?

Wasn't this the show where it opened with Vince and Shane and Shane was holding his first born son, and that's kinda how they tied it into the tagline as well? Like a new generation was beginning, so the McMahon legacy was beginning again? Or I am remembering that wrong?

Don’t forget Wrestlemania 25 being marketed as the “25th Anniversary” of Wrestlemania. I think Vince should maybe take some math classes....

Yeah it's just a phrase. Like WrestleMania 2 was "What the world is coming to". What the hell does that mean? Whenever I think of WM2, I think of that Jake the snake match.... the same one, where almost 31 year old me, covers her eyes at the end, because that is gross as hell.
