I had no idea those things were called strip malls, so I legit thought they were talking about a mall full of strip clubs, which I found odd for PG WWE. Exactly what I thought. I had never heard that term before. What's a strip mall exactly? I legit thought he'd started a strip club. I think it's basically a plaza. A bunch of connected stores but you enter them all from outside whereas a traditional mall has you entering the stores from inside a single building. The picture a few posts above gives you the idea of what it would look like. For the OP, this storyline made about as much sense as that year that the Bellas switched alignments every 3 weeks or so. You had no f's given Big Show with his Iron Clad contract. Then it turned out that he owed HHH money because of a bad investment in a mall and so he had to do what the authority wanted because reasons. Then they were back to iron clad, then he went from claiming he could basically own the company to give me a title shot. Lost that title shot. Also, he cried a buttload of times during all this. It was bad. We are all dumber for having watched it.

The whole thing made no sense, like if Big Show got fired he wouldn't immediately get a main event position in any wrestling company in the world. Steph made it sound like he was going to end up sweeping hair in a barber shop.

This was also when Stephanie said she and Big Show grew up together, which kinda made it seem like the original WCW "Son of Andre" angle was still canon in WWE. I thought she said she grew up looking up to him...like he had taken the place of Andre in her personal canon.

It failed because he didn't realize that the death of the modern mall was coming and considering his extinct ways and stubborn mindstate, he couldn't adapt to a post-2010 American society. ....thing is, strip malls are still doing well, maybe better than ever, and they seem to be thriving better than malls are. Did Big Show buy some strip mall for way too much in an overly commercial area and had no idea how to attract new tenants and make competent changes to the design of his property? DETAILS COME ON WWE DETAILS!

I'm not joking about the details about this 5 year old storyline though.

You know I don't really understand the killing of malls and why people don't go to them. I'd rather go one place to find lots of things I want or need that has lots of different selection because of the different stores opposed to having to drive all over creation.

He forgot to include a Spencer's. Poor ignorant bastard was probably convinced to put in a “Pastamania” though.

I'd rather go one place to find lots of things I want or need that has lots of different selection because of the different stores opposed to having to drive all over creation. I think it may be the rise of the mega stores like wal-mart and target and whatnot. Also, many of the traditional anchor stores have failed outright with Sears being the most recent example (here in Canada at least). Though a big component is the rise of online shopping (though I don't really get that for clothing since you can't try anything on).

This reminds me of a test we had in school, many moons ago.
The question was, What is a Strip City?", and the answer being a single street city.
Well, one of my class-mates answered "The part of town where the porn clubs are."
He did not get credit for that one.

The definition of a strip city I mean. I've heard of a one horse town but what city would only be on one street?

If I remember correctly, the "Strip City" thing is from the old west, which would probably be the same as your "One Horse Town" example.

I don't care how shitty this storyline was, it got us this, and that's all that matters.
