I spaced out a lot in late 2013, but care to enlighten me about his illustrious strip mall and why it failed?

It failed because he didn't realize that the death of the modern mall was coming and considering his extinct ways and stubborn mindstate, he couldn't adapt to a post-2010 American society.

I think that whole storyline killed what was left of his career.
Vince really thought the fans were gonna cheer for Big Show instead of Bryan.

He opened a strip mall, but all the shops were Blockbuster video stores.

I had no idea those things were called strip malls, so I legit thought they were talking about a mall full of strip clubs, which I found odd for PG WWE.

I spaced out a lot in late 2013, but care to enlighten me about his illustrious strip mall and why it failed? Basically Steph was trying to get heat by forcing Show yo do things he didn't want to do or he'd be fired. She made some offhand remark about him being broke because of a failed strip mall. Also if they fired him nobody else would hire him anywhere for... reasons. Oh and he's a giant so he's going to be dead soon. So he started to cry. This was after he'd come off a heel run where it was established that Johnny Ace had signed him to an iron clad contract where he could do whatever he wanted and the company couldn't fire or discipline him in any way. So eventually WWE fired him and then the iron clad contract thing was remembered, so Show threatened to sue (and stated he'd own the company) but dropped his suit in exchange for a title match. Which he lost. Then the following week he danced in a diaper as the New Years baby. And probably cried again.

You know a storyline sucks when it makes CM Punk vs. Heyman and Rybaxel look like Austin vs. The Hart Foundation.

Any time this storyline gets brought up, I always remember a poster on here coming up with a great skit about an excited Big Show showing off his strip mall, complete with vape stores and a Hallmark, etc. Hilarious.

Punk going from those awesome promos with Heyman and having Brock's best match (IMO) to Ryback and friggin' Axel was quite the fall off.

Investing in a strip mall is literally one of the worst types of investments you can make. Well that and investing in a sperm bank for dogs. 'Double my money and you don't have to mop up the excess semen on the floor!' that man with the eyepatch said. Last time I'll ever trust anybody with my dad's colon surgery money.

This was also when Stephanie said she and Big Show grew up together, which kinda made it seem like the original WCW "Son of Andre" angle was still canon in WWE.

Things went downhill once they started enforcing that smoking ban.

Did Vince legit think the fans would be ok with Bryan being moved down the card and the Big Show being his replacement in the storyline?

Oh, don't forget the bit where "Stone Cold" Big Show drove a truck into the arena and then started doing the Yes chants.
